New World Selecting Character Not Loading / Screen Freezes While In Game/ New World Login Blocked Suspicious Software

Hello Dev,

These past few weeks, I had trouble playing New World due to screen freezes, character could not load in the main menu and when I get into my game the screen freezes again and the notification of “new world login blocked suspicious software or corrupted install detected”. I’ve tried few tips like view game files integrity, log out of my steam account for 60 mins, update my GPU and Windows, still, it’s not working. Is there any other solutions for me to get into the game? Please help.

I too am having these exact same issues for the last week and have tried all of the tips previously mentioned.

If you receive the error: “Login Blocked: Suspicious Software or Corrupted Install Detected,” this is a detection and block from Easy Anti-Cheat service. Try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting EAC Issues :

Verify integrity of game files

Repair, Reinstall, Update, or Verify EAC :

To repair Easy Anti-Cheat:

  1. Open the New World Application in your Steam library.

  2. Open Settings, select Manage, and then Browse Local Files.

  3. Open the EasyAntiCheat folder.

  4. Launch the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe file as administrator, and run it.

  5. Select Repair.

Additional EAC troubleshooting :

  • Verify: To verify your EAC installation, check out EAC Support.
  • Update: To update your EAC installation, check out EAC Support.
  • Reinstall: To install or uninstall EAC, follow the steps here: EAC Support.

To Reinstall EAC please follow these steps :

  1. Open the New World Application in your Steam library and go to Settings → Manage → Browse Local Files ​:

Scan for malware :

Try scanning for malware. Malware can cause many adverse effects on your computer. These effects vary widely depending upon the type and purpose of the malware. High resource usage can be one of the symptoms, which directly impacts your gaming experience. If you have your own preferred anti-virus or anti-malware software, use it to scan your computer.

Restart your computer :

  1. Close all open programs, including New World and Steam.
  2. Select the Windows button, and then the power button.
  3. Select Restart.

Thank you for contact us about the not loading screen and freeze problem. Im sorry for any inconvenience this might caused to you.

In order to fix the freezing, you might need to complete a file check: Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files

Its important as well to check for pending BIOS updates.
Also verify that the drivers are correct and up to date: New World Compatible GPU Driver Update - Support

Check the EAC: Locate the game directory, and then select the “EasyAntiCheat” subfolder. Click EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe to run the installer as an administrator, fix it if necessary.
Note: The Steam Games installation directory will generally be in: C:\Program Files\ Steam (x86)\ SteamApps\ Common

  • You can lower the resolution to High in the settings.

After all steps above:

  • Shut down the computer completely. Turn it on, then run the Steam client as administrator and try the game again.

If you cannot find the character, go and check the server lists, then you will see the how many characters you have on the different worlds, then it will be saved by default.
