New World, the game that makes you want to quit

Most dont care about xp earning, increased luck, increased bonuses while gathering.

We want to pvp to pvp and fight over worthwhile loot along the way, or kill players who have that. Increasing gathering rates while flagged isnt the spot.

Actual open world objectives to contest and group up for are needed.

I’m confused by the fundamelists comment. In what way do we mistake tedious for challenge?

It’s actually very easy. Some days you get an absurd bargain on in the tp right place right time. Open trading is trash and nobody really buys. As long as you got a decent amount of money patience and luck it’s not hard

Every MMO goes through this? I missed the part where 90% of WoW’s players quit and the game limped along for a year.

It is not about gathering rates.

The XP buff would include Weapon XP, trade skill XP (including aptitude), and XP earned for standings.

Gold is for all gold earned. Kills, salvage, quests, and mission boards.

With just the buffs to tradeskill aptitudes, I see people wanting it to pop more aptitude boxes.

Offering luck is for open world
Offering loot is for the tracks

With different PvP offer different rewards. This allows for several reasons to PvP in player’s own way. And we can see what pushes PvP in rewards (backend data). Then you give leaderboard competition more of a community PvP effort for addition loot rewards.

WoW lost a lot at the beginning, then came back.

Same goes for ESO and FFXIV.

What you failed to use as a variable is how much does the name behind the game influences hype and the curve.

Those arent interesting reasons for pvp’ers to log on and organize content.

LOL

These two PvP instances are not really for organized content (well, maybe company influence and buffs). It’s for those who want no queues when they want PvP.

Individual tracks, community tracks, globals buffs are all in the events. Or did you choose to omit what I said about individual track rewards? Or is the flaw in the argument you present that you assume this was for organized content. Even after I specified it for those who do not need to wait for queues?

And do not forget community rewards from leaderboards would should not be mundane.

i agreed with you at most parts. having bis items not that hard and 2/3 perk items also good yes.

I dont follow some of what your proposing as its not well defined.

What pvp players want is open world pvp objectives to fight over that offer good rewards and gear progression forntheir time and risk.

We dont care about the other nonsense.

good luck

from what I see, they are going to be pulling away from open world PvP and the semi-instanced war scenario to increase performance and population.

PvP will shift to being instanced little by little.

I dont think theyre working much on pvp but from what theyve stated the next update on pvp content we’re getting is an update to the territory conflict creating objectives on timers for factions and/or companies to engage in open world capture and hold type objective play to gain a war declare. No time table.

I agree overall the game has shifted heavily towards pve development and abandoned pvp for the most part.

None is what they are doing is going to increase population when they loathe gamers this much. Gamers are just going to play games worth their time and effort. Unofficially New World has been voted off the relevant MMO scene. And it seems AGS and Amazon couldn’t care less.

Maybe it has something to do with wanting players to swap from New World to the P4C MMO that they are going to be publishing soon. Seems like a cold calculated decision to make New World unappealing. To make even more money off silly people jumping from New World to T&L a P4C MMO down the road. But at the end of the day, it is what it is.

It is rather tedious rezzing people that die in content they said offered no challenge. I do not ask for much just don’t get hit, and instantly die, and do not expect me to run a carnelian to save you. I work without a net, or tent for that matter.

Other than that you are just making baseless assumptions. You sound exactly like those that need rezzing repeatedly. I never found GW2 to be that challenging. fun yes challenging no.

Let me guess you are one of the people that dies in a 50 man train doing 5 man content, that some of us solo. If, or when the developers make it impossible for me to solo, I will probably just leave because at that point most five man groups will struggle causing the bulk of players to leave, or join trains, and I refuse to join trains as they are the epitome of rendering fun game play moot.

The only claim trains have is efficiency, but they give up fun in the process on the basis of calling it tedious, which is really just laziness, packaged in a case of self loathing that keeps fun at bay. What is really odd is how these are the same people that try and gate keep gear, even though they are diametrically opposing views.

Hmm, I watched some video of AoC once recently, it was like hot tub time machine. No, I’m happy here, thanks. Just miss the open pvp like it was before ya’ll took it carebear.

The game failed. It’s not failing, it’s not dying… It died, it’s no more… so no need to really beat it… under 20k isn’t really an MMO really because it’s not Massive… and it’s barely Multiplayer… It IS online… for a little while longer. This game is on a ventilator, and once in a while they pump air into it, to show signs of life, but it’s just a false blip. This game died 2 months out of the gate and the players did everything in their power to help it stay afloat… but not enough around to work the mouth and the arms at the same time any more. This game is now “Weekend at Bernie’s” GL all.

I even cannot experience this so called war - fortress siege for +1 year because territory owner guilds are not changing (shell companies, 3rd party companies etc exploits, thy kept their territories without losing majority of time) and there is no way to beat them anymore because thy earn and earned millions of free gold weekly from each territory… And it is so hard to get in a fortress siege battle even if you have the best gear… same for invasions majority of the time… Open world pvp and faction fights are exist too. 3vs3 and OPR are full of BIS geared pre-made groups to fight while you join these instanced zone so called pvp activities as solo with randoms where most of the time you are in the losing team…

Musket mega nerfs, but mega fire staff buffs. Zero balance between weapons, instead of solving and determine the main problem. Every patch, a weapon is ruined and other weapon is buffed… We are so rich to have BIS gears to wear for every changing META…

End game is so boring in EU region. The game is a solo gameplay or if you have 4 friends good geared to do dungeons nothing more. Companies don’t have any meaning at this game, same for being in a faction. Servers are so empty and half of population made of bots, alt characters and cheater illegal players… Even these elite chest runs rarely happen too… New World doesn’t have mmorpg spirit at all. The Lumberjack engine even cannot handle 100 player fights in the same zone and area… High in game latency. huge FPS drops, server lags and servers with 2500 population limit…

Other promising UE5 new mmorpgs and even Quinfall with Unity is coming, so the end of New World is near. Currently, New World is the new Archeage where exactly same topics, subjects are happening… With 28th March, the game turns into p2w officially too by dividing players as free and premium, so I don’t see any future at this game after seeing attitudes of AGS and 2023 Roadmap where they cannot compute with any new mmorpgs at this point…
