It’ll probably end up being a cosmetic and ranking competition in the end.
It does take minimal work to become strong in new world.
Yet, if they implement progression as slow as older mmorpgs people will likely cause a commotion until it is made easy for them again.
This Era of gaming is full of people who have a hard time transitioning from instant gratification titles and console style releases to mmorpgs, which classically became better with age.
But the one thing that can keep players coming back is probably bragging rights.
Being x rank on your server as a healer. X ranked on your server in duo pvp arenas. X rank across all servers in 5v5.
Having a skin that drops from a difficult raid or world boss only either a 1/10000 chance.
There are tons of players in mmorpgs who want to look cool and feel cool every time they walk onto the playground.
New world isn’t any different.
As long as they release a new dungeon and pvp mode every here and there while doing events in game with limited skins/placeables/recipes, and a bit of challenge to it, there will be a community.
I agree that there is no regular income (not counting the otupost) but I think there is money to be made and I don’t mean that production should be based on creating 2,000 useless items which are spread around
My point is that even though you managed to make 25k a week, you shouldn’t assume that is normal behavior - in fact, you’ve demonstrated you know it isn’t. Further, because you know there isn’t a regular income, you doing so isn’t necessarily something you’ll always be able to repeat. So one of the reasons you said the game is “easy” doesn’t hold up.
I think they want us to get these items, maybe in next patch after this one in january they will add more dungs and new maps higher GS cap or maybe also new lvl cap, and getting those items will be much harder we will see. We have patch notes and bigger update every month so it can change really fast.
It is not exactly about that either. For example, to get an item from a dungeon you have to create a sphere. You also need to gain gs. And in order to create a legendary weapon, raw materials are enough
Um, NO. It’s because lots of people have these things called LIVES, ya know? Stop assigning character flaws to people who don’t make enough make believe money in a make believe game. Seriously.
Which is partly why they’re changing that system with the new year - you won’t just be able to get 60 and then buy/craft your way to legendary items anymore.
