No.
The direction that AGS is moving new world, is not a direction that is enjoyable for me personally.

No matter what features they add, I just don’t trust it will keep my interest down the line.

Nope. I mean, I’m not gone, I just dgaf about what AGS does, this year looks promising with solo and mmos all over so it was -not- a fun ride, but boy, I’m not buying anything else from them.

Even if T&L gets published by AGS; I won’t buy/play it, because if they have the same level of customer support that NW currently has with mass reports, automated responses and what not, sorry NCSoft but you backed the wrong horse here, and I’m filling AGS along EA and Ubisoft.

Does it matter, truly? No one at NW or any of it’s affiliates will do any of that, not a one and this has been proven time and time again. Most of the still playing players are either
A) enjoying the game enough to not care at the mismangement
B) Bots
C) Companies owning the economy and no lifers or
D) Waiting for new game or releases of better content than NW.
It’s not rocket science, more will drop when new games are released later this year (For me it’s the new SW: Fallen Jedi pt.2 (forgot the actual name but I bought the pre-order for it and ESO’s new Necrom w/ artificer abilities and the new pet/mount/gear, all included) and even the devs themselves know it and hahahahahaha more than likely them themselves are waiting for new games having hardly, if any, play NW

Someone’s going to come along nail this niche eventually. New world and Darkfall Unholy wars got close.

All i want is to have a feeling like I did on launch day of the original darkfall again.

I havent felt that passionately about a game since.

Maybe Quinfall is the game you are waiting for then

Nah, its 100% AoC. Quinfall looks cool for what it is, but theres really only one game Im waiting for.

No, I wouldn’t give AGS another chance after this garbage fire of a game. (That I can’t stop playing)

Combat looks insanely slow and clunky…not fluid at all…

Going by the trailers anyways…

Pretty much and if TL is published by them no way i am gonna play TL, NO WAY

“If”

btw im playing it

Naval battles would definietly be something, but considering we still can’t swim it’s no secret that AGS hasn’t figured out the water part yet. Perhaps one day they will.

Funny how players have more imagination than the devs

Yes, but as you say, it is the trailer created using an alpha or even pre-alpha version of the game. Some keep quoting that the game will be released in 2023 but this is just a date for the closed beta testing, any release counts with the rules Steam has, so not the release of the full game as that would probably be at least 2 or 3 years away.

Look at the problems there were with New World even up to the beta versions and for some time after the launch, like wars, and see how that has changed.

So basically the question is would we play a completely different game? This is a weird question.

Fundamental mechanics stay the same. That other game you’re advertising looks awful.

Maybe is just the end of mmo games altogether, because all other ones (like VRising, Warlander and similar) did not to great either. Nothing just feels new and interesting anymore.

Once you see the bill I am writing with my congressman you will understand that yes. ALL GAMING IS DEAD.

You are all killing the environment running your computers inorder to play some silly video game.

You will be paying 5$ an hour to play a video come the end of 2024.

Well sign up for free for the closed beta and you can see if the “fundamental mechanics” do change or remain the same as you suggest. What do you think the various stages of testing are for if not to iron out any problems and make changes that improve the game.
