New World Unchained: Re-release. Would you all come back?

So basically the question is would we play a completely different game? This is a weird question.

Fundamental mechanics stay the same. That other game you’re advertising looks awful.

Maybe is just the end of mmo games altogether, because all other ones (like VRising, Warlander and similar) did not to great either. Nothing just feels new and interesting anymore.

Once you see the bill I am writing with my congressman you will understand that yes. ALL GAMING IS DEAD.

You are all killing the environment running your computers inorder to play some silly video game.

You will be paying 5$ an hour to play a video come the end of 2024.

Well sign up for free for the closed beta and you can see if the “fundamental mechanics” do change or remain the same as you suggest. What do you think the various stages of testing are for if not to iron out any problems and make changes that improve the game.

Great point totally agree. Fluid combat is one of the biggest things NW did right that other games miss.

No

So you are basing your whole opinion of a game on an at most alpha version of it, and one aspect of the game at that.

You mean like wars and how “fluid” they were for the first few months?

So you will not be playing it, but there are many on here who will be.

No they had the two chances I was willing to give and have worked the players over again and again. I probably will not return regardless of what changes. The developers appear to have little to no respect for the playerbase wishes what so ever.

No, It’s the cheating, Bots, RMT, and ability to blackmail player base to gate out in game content. None of this has been dealt with and its all at the expense of a lot of us that were the ones spending time here.

All you listed was a bigger trainwreck of the exact same model not addressing the game design is a failure all around. Fodder that.

OP is a dreamer.

Why would I imagine such fantasy scenarios

There’s more chances they release an Ukelele instrument than the 5% of what you’ve said.

Nope, just waiting for something new and appealing to come out then I’m switching. Heck I’ve already not played for 10 days or so and don’t feel the need to log and play like I use to. Didn’t even have to play the Leaderboards to know it was going to be a failure and cause of even more players leaving.

So true, Lost Ark is a complete mess in the forums as well. It basically mirrors the problems here. It seems to be an AGS problem as a whole. The image below is just top posts on Feb 9th…

Lets see, Amazon sells NW to Gamigo and it is renamed as New World Unchained; “good night sweet prince”

So… you’re asking if New World was essentially a completely new game, made by competent developers with an actual cohesive vision of what they want their game to be, and that I already paid for and would not have to pay again… Would I give it a try?

Lemme think about it…

Nope. I loved so much about this game, but the lack of regular PvE content updates just kills it. You can only run the same quests so many times before gouging your eyes out starts to seem like a good idea. PvP is nothing but a gankfest… fun only if you’re on the pre-made team. (Not to mention the many other flaws of PvP, or the wonderful sweaty personality types it seems to attract).

Such a beautiful game, with so many cool things, completely ruined by utter incompetence.

Not gunna lie, ags is doing some things right, not many, but some things…
Perhaps they should take the approach that blizzard did, when blizzard reached out for help… and contact Riot Games.

That might just help them get on track.
