Bleeding ~80% of its player base just within its first 2 months is considered “the best launch in recent history”? Last FFXIV expansion or even Classic would like to have a word with you :^)
It’s “in a better state than most MMOs” with game-breaking glitch/dupe every other day, servers shitting themselves constantly and half of the stuff like perks not even working properly, while others like Trading Post is straight-up turned off for days on end. They’re even rollbacking shit because they’re incapable of fixing it.

The lengths of reality-bending drones will go for is just unreal, the delusions are through the roof. You’re actually being held hostage by your sunken cost fallacy xD

Yes. It is better than wow at launch back in the day. Better than ESO which was hated to the ground by scrubs like you and better than FF that was completely remade. Keep on talking though…

  • server transfers buggy
  • burning graphics cards
  • mass reporting leading into thousands of unjustified bans by automated bots

all of combined within its first month

played every single major MMO release since EQ2, cant find one beside New World.

If anything NW will go down in MMO history as the most broken clusterfck there ever was.

It’s a decent game, lots of fun despite its flaws, albeit handled pretty poorly post launch by the development management but… Your thread reads like it’s written by a Russian Twitter bot.

No, it was not even close to NW levels of failure, even back in 2004.

It was WAY worse. The servers were a lag fest. The duping was kept secret between an elite of several thousand of players that controlled the economy.

Pvp was completely unbalanced. Quests needed a manual in order to be solved. People just did NOT care because it was novel.

Okay, game had a blasting release with hype marketing through the roof. And you’re conveniently ignoring that it lost 80% of its players pretty much immediately. Pure cope :^)

You’re comparing NW to a Game released in 2004? What a feat! Want to hear something even better? Re-release of said 2004 title blasted NW’s score both and launch and over the months.
Why are you still arguing “b-but X had a worse release!!!”? They did, got shit on for it and improved (or not), as seen by recent FFXIV expansion launch for example. On the other hand, NW is not improving at all - even more, they’re making the game progressively worse with each update, or glitches/dupes just get discovered every other day.

I enjoy the game a lot. They fucked up a lot of things a lot of times but I’m not about to stop playing the best MMO of the last decade.
