Also people can choose from the list where to go with their friends.
For example you make pre launch servers to test stuff. Then before launch vipe, and launch them.
Now it is a bit RNG based, instead of 4 server in europe, we got 16. Everyone is lost.

To be objective AGS reacted very quickly with releasing new servers inbetween those announced servers.
Just start somewhere with your friends. Worst case scenario is you will be merged with another Fresh server.
Don’t overthink things. I did that on launch and now im much more satisfied not doing it 
ye but lets say few guys gets in, and other few stuck on 4500 queue, its kinda rip.
Better to wait some innactive server with queue max 300-500 and later when server dies, it will get merged.
Im pretty sure Nyx, Ilium or Gilgamesh are pretty safe bets even now have fun.

They might, yes, but they won’t be big. My friend got into game yesterday after 3 hours with 6k queue so those 1-2k queues won’t take long.
