Ban their acc here ar forum not in game. I guess they mostly dont play this any longer.
I mean the developers said themselves about the convenience items that I mentioned.
AGS has leadership problems and that entire paragraph really⦠I agree with all of that. I donāt blame the developers for any of this.
a very easy litmus test:
if youre ok with these changes knowing full well that crafters and dedicated pvpers, anyone who didnt chase the hwm system, are going to get shafted and get a severe reduction in the performance of their gear, then you should be ok with everyones expertise starting out at 500.
PERIOD. FULL STOP.
If you are not ok with that you are a fucking hypocrite.
In my opinion that would be even worse. It would hurt a larger number of players, especially those who did a more hybrid type of gameplay both enjoying crafting pvp and PvE. I am one in that category. I would craft starmetal ingots for trade. Do OPRs constantly and also do some eventual open DG runs. I got my GS kicking and got an average of 520 by now. Having it back to 500 over all means that though little the progress I have already got, would also be worth nothing. I am by no means defending the Expertise all together, but resetting it all across the board is not a good move imo
PREECH ON! Thatās pretty much what every PvPer and crafter is saying to these blatant hypocrites. Who are celebrating that everybody else progression got wiped except their own.
I like long halls. More space to deck with boughs of holly.
If asking for official response and not just peoples opinions the closest I found was:
This is incorrect, they clearly state you need less WM boosts to get 600. They might have nerfed the last few levels of WM, but you still get there with less boosts. Also I think people are underestimating how fast you can WM up with guaranteed boosts on all expedition bosses, paired with all the other boosts. You are making a massive assumption that it will take longer to level up.
All in all I find it interesting the people who havenāt leveled their watermark, and donāt know the system and how long it takes, are the ones complaining and saying this new system is worse.
There are data from the server test and data mining about the real numbers. They nerfed pretty much everything that manage to give hwm bump and orbās dont give that much bump, overall is going to take you a lot more time to raise your hwm. What they said it was going to be easy to get a bump in something you want (ie your going to pick what to increase, once per day), not that it was going to be easier to lvl up their watermark.
Oh, and I did raise my hwm, its almost everything around 580~590. Im just empathic to those people who didnt raised their hwm and was, instead, raising craft or just going pvp all the way. I tried craft and was so long of a grind, and a boring one, that kudos to everyone who actually manage to raise that thing.
The only data I have seen relates to the elite chest drop rate and named mobs drop rate. It says nothing about the new elite farms being added and nothing about expeditions which are currently the fastest way. The dev blog specifically says expeditions have been not touched and even buffed in some instances.
Donāt get me wrong, I am completely sympathetic to them. I would prefer a system where old items are grandfathered in, I know they would still be just as mad though. People are spinning the statistics about how long it takes to farm HWM to make AGS look terrible. At the same time I think this is an extremely good change for the long term health of the game.
I will copy and paste here, but I do think you should try to look for this infos since they are all around the internet. The only thing adressed so far, by the devs, is the cost of the orbs;
The simple version is this: The odds of increasing your watermark were reduced from 10% to 1%. Minimum GS increase is nerfed at higher watermarks (2 to 1). Odds of a 600 GS item dropping were reduced significantly, but odds of a 591+ is up on average. Overall, HWM progression is significantly nerfed.
(Thanks Fluff in the NWDB Discord for this)
Old:

550 : +3 : 1.5% : +0.125%
575 : +2 : 1% : +0.06%
590 : +10 : 1% : +0.025%

New:
500 : +5 : 1% : +0.1%
520 : +4 : 1% : +0.1%
545 : +3 : 1% : +0.1%
575 : +2 : 1% : +0.1%
585 : +1 : 1% : +0.1%
590 : +10 : 1% : +0.1%
RollupChance: 1% on all
Note there is a bunch of other stuff that also modifies this. It remains to be seen how bad the nerf is, but it will be significant. For example, HWMMult (a multiplier for raising HWM) was reduced from 30 on elite chests down to 15. For elite mobs, it was reduced from 2 to 1.5. For named mobs, it was reduced from 15 to 4. These HWMMult changes are on top of the drop chance being reduced from 10% to 1%, so there are multiple areas of nerfs.
Gypsum (edit with testing in NWDB discord)
An OPR cast gave +3 expertise. It is unclear if this is always +3 or if it follows the rules of regular HWM increases (i.e. up to +5 until level 520, then +4 until 545, etc.). Crafting an orb has a tax of 100g. Crafting a cast has a tax of 500g.
The gypsum, combined with the HWM changes, are the opposite of what the dev diary said. The dev diary stated:
But we have increased up the amount your Expertise increases with each bump to make Gypsum Casts and the random bumps feel more valuable.
However, this datamined info shows the opposite: The potential gear score increase is reduced on each step. There is even a new step at 585 where you can only go up +1, rather than the current +2.
Edit: Well Guardian got nerfed again. Now has 505,500 HP down from 1,011,000. Damage was also cut by over half from 7,342 to 3,192.
did you read the new notes the new gypsem is literally 100000% faster to lvl WM its wild
This aged well
People literally just making up issues that donāt even exist yet, to complain.
