No Balance on The PTR?

A privilege to test their buggy game, find issues and flaws, report them, and not to have them be fixed for weeks, months, or if we’re lucky. at all. I guess I will join you by genuflecting to the Devs.

It’s not a privilege. They have said multiple times they need us to test things. They were practically begging lol

I see this is a hill you are willing to die on my friend. But indeed you are still incorrect. They can in fact just say that all is well and push the build after their own in house testing. However the privilege of letting us test it and add input is indeed a privilege.

Privilege - a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.

I have pasted the definition in case you needed to refresh <3

Since you so kindly defined it, can you please elaborate how having access to the PTR is any of these?

special right? - nope, granted to ANYone who buys the game
advantage - nope, unless your talking about advantage to find exploitable bugs before live? But I’m sure you’re not considering that an advantage because you are an AGSLover
immunity - nope, don’t see this but maybe you think so somehow?

They can’t accept the fact that this game is ran by a skeleton crew

Oh my friend! The ptr is indeed given only to the select few who bought the game! Its not a part of the main game you see but is instead a simply bonus you get! We are indeed given a special right to see what is being worked on under the hood if you will. Thus making it a special right only a select few have access to. One that can be taken away at any moment as well if we are a bunch of naughty children yelling at our parents when they hand us our least favorite flavor of desert.

Lol take it away from us please. If that means we get updates more frequently that’s what I want.

I can agree with this actually haha

OK you didn’t at all address your own definition of “privilege”…
Whatever man, your clearly an AGS simp.

Anyway - in my opinion AGS is LUCKY to have us testing the game.
AGS is priviledged to have a player base willng to help test their game.

:man_facepalming:t2: .

Indeed they are! Its a two way street. All snark and sass aside all you guys do is flame on the forums (not you particularly since i dont keep up with everyone) but if you guys dont start to work on how you deliver your feedback youre gonna loose access and then complain about loosing it. So just consider it a heads up <3

They didn’t do shit on this PTR, just the leaderboard? really??? , and the combat balance and the nerfs to the broken weapons and the light???
How much do these guys get paid? they only work on weekends?
Questions questions and more questions xD

Say goodbye to a big chunk of population. I’m sure others were like me on the fence about playing something else. Only thing that made me pause was the announcement to balancing.

Now I know why over the last two days Muskets have re populated OPR once again after dying down from the PTR balance announcement. Because there is no PTR balance………:face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Either that or a new exploit or version of aimbot was released.

And never will be!! Right?!? Right?!? They will never put balance changes in PTR ever!! never ever, ever never, never!! Am I right??

Weapon balance should have been released before PTR boards.

What imbecile releases a leaderboard when weapons aren’t balanced in game?

Only the people playing those broken weapons want leaderboards right now to be on top.

Every single person out of the playerbase testing stuff on the PTR means less budget AGS has to allocate for inhouse testing. On top of that, influencers tend to jump on PTRs, which is basically free marketing to their audience if the content is good. Do not try to paint the playerbase as ungrateful here. Having a PTR is a way bigger W to AGS than it is to us.

Which is why I’m very certain our access to the PTR will not be revoked even if we call this patch out for what it is - BS.

But they are.

Every PTR so far had multiple patch notes that were released over time. They mentioned some time ago that they will implement changes over a few weeks rather than all at once. I think the balance changes will come in the following weeks on PTR

Call me naive, but I believe they are testing how the Leaderboards are working and if they apply as expected to different game modes. Weapon balance has nothing to do with Leaderboard testing from my point of view

That may be true, but we can’t give meaningful feedback on the actual leaderboard fun value increase if we don’t know what’s gonna happen with the balance patch. OPR stat padding for example will be a serious problem with the leaderboards in its current iteration, and I believe it will actually drive players away as it promotes exploitative gameplay and will probably create an even worse meta than musket / bowPR. Will this still hold true after the balancing? No clue. That’s why we need both patches in unison. Not gonna login to the PTR until the balance changes, it‘d be pointless :slightly_smiling_face:
