Ok, but this whole thread is that there are no hard choices, and you’re attempting to change the subject to: This should be more of a PvP game.
Look if I want to play a pure PvP game I would play battlefield not an MMO. Maybe your looking at the wrong game to start?
This is a PvE/PvP game. Yes I am talking about a PvE aspect. I have pointed out clearly that IF everyone maxed out all professions it takes away from a players individuality. Which is something a lot of players would like to have. Now is it a 100% individuality, no of course not that is very rare if not legendary to happen. But since this is an MMO You need to think about the health of the game as a whole which includes PvE.
I do not understand at all how this threads even touches on PvP for you to bring that into the conversation is what I am saying.
This thread is simply pointing out that for the players who enjoy crafting there is more that could be done. This is a feedback forum, I am providing feedback to the devs that I think would help improve the game nothing more. But jumping in and saying
Makes absolutely no sense in this thread since again it is about a PvE thing in the game. Namely, Gathering and Crafting and how normally crafters like to be specialists in their craft.
Now don’t get me wrong, I agree there needs to be more PvP options, but this is not the thread for it.
Nah, Im looking at a fantasticly grindy game which is absolutely to my taste and I couldnt be much happier about the state of the system, if the most cricital bugs would finally be fixed.
The reason I bring PVP to the table is because individual perks are a PVE only trait.
I only want to point out, the problem exists only in a mindset of “I want” vs “what is necessary to make it work”.
If you like as much: currently my individual task is making bags for all people I know. A different player has maxed fishing, and so on - we dont care we have the same max potential as there is no reason for us to ever grind to reach it, it just happens.
So now you’re attacking other players also, and basically telling them to quit NW just because they disagree with you? Wow. Have you considered that maybe it’s you who’s the common denominator of this conflict? No, of course you haven’t because that’s impossible, right?
I’m not playing silly games, you are simply incapable of reading apparently. Trust me, you cannot understand my thought process more than I do, and at no point did I ever tell someone to quit playing NW.
At this point you are simply trolling anyone who dares to have a different opinion than you. That’s your thought process. I’m simply seeing your behavior for what it is.
You’re trolling yourself. Again, you read something and claim to know its meaning. If you are actually here to discuss, please do. But stop lying and trying to twist my words to fit your own narrative. If you think I said something and I say to show mw where I said it and you cannot, then you are admitting you were wrong. But even if you did post something and I replied with an explanation to try clarifying it for you, you would ignore the clarification and claim your initial thought was correct without evidence. At least that’s what it looks like to me. But thank you for the free bumps on the thread I guess?
You just said you only want 1 max level. The example you gave was mining and become a miner. That is being committed to only 1 thing and you can only be a miner.
Honestly, They’ll have methods of making things valuable at later stages, expansions etc. MMO’s are built around having to maintain the economy/provide money sinks/keep resources moving. I’ll give Amazon some credit in that department. Look at their control of real world economics and movement of assets/resources.
And honestly, it’s going to take people longer than you think to get fully geared and ‘done’. Let’s get to endgame before complaining about endgame.
Correct, I gave miner as an example in the example of a way the Devs could create a specialty for people to follow.
Later in the thread:
To which I replied:
So by no means am I suggesting full limitations 1 path only. Again I put that as an example. This is why discussions are needed not just attacks as some people seem to be doing in here.
To which received the following response:
So I do not think I am being unreasonable by simply suggesting something.
With that said, do you have any other suggestions on a way a player could specialize in gathering or crafting?
I’m not saying it’s unreasonable. I’m saying that Amazon wanted to make “you are what you wear” but you want to make it into specialization instead. I have no suggestion to make it into specialization. I just wish they add more weapons and varieties.
But its not a you are what you wear when talking about Gathering and Crafting, it doesn’t matter what you wear so I fail to understand how asking for specializations prevent you from the 'You are what you wear" game style.
Are you required to wear specific gear to gather anything? No, you may need a specific tool but that’s not exactly the same since you can equip all of the tools.
Fine, it is not you are what you wear but you can do anything and everything. That is the core foundation of the game yet you want to turn it into specialization. Let us say they listen to you and make it into specialized crafting. What is stopping you from asking again to make the gears into a specialized one? this is your suggestion and you are hoping to improve the game so I understand, I was just saying how 180 it will be.
Ok, and the request for specialization is not stopping anyone from doing anything. But I see it from the point of view that people do not want to be limited but that is exactly where the title comes from “No hard choices, just time commitment”. Of course this is in regards to Crafting and Gathering.
However I am a bit confused where you state:
I don’t know who thinks that, considering you can just look at the map and tell there is definitely more to the land.
Can you explain why you think this?
