Please tell me where I told someone to quit NW. I really want you to show me this. I’ll wait.
Being intentionally obtuse isn’t cute.
I’m being serious, I want you to show me where I told someone to quit NW. You said I did that, I am asking you to show me exactly where I did that.
I think others will clearly see it. I am not wasting my time on playing your silly games. Have a nice day!
I’m not playing silly games, you are simply incapable of reading apparently. Trust me, you cannot understand my thought process more than I do, and at no point did I ever tell someone to quit playing NW.
At this point you are simply trolling anyone who dares to have a different opinion than you. That’s your thought process. I’m simply seeing your behavior for what it is.
You’re trolling yourself. Again, you read something and claim to know its meaning. If you are actually here to discuss, please do. But stop lying and trying to twist my words to fit your own narrative. If you think I said something and I say to show mw where I said it and you cannot, then you are admitting you were wrong. But even if you did post something and I replied with an explanation to try clarifying it for you, you would ignore the clarification and claim your initial thought was correct without evidence. At least that’s what it looks like to me. But thank you for the free bumps on the thread I guess?
You just said you only want 1 max level. The example you gave was mining and become a miner. That is being committed to only 1 thing and you can only be a miner.
Honestly, They’ll have methods of making things valuable at later stages, expansions etc. MMO’s are built around having to maintain the economy/provide money sinks/keep resources moving. I’ll give Amazon some credit in that department. Look at their control of real world economics and movement of assets/resources.
And honestly, it’s going to take people longer than you think to get fully geared and ‘done’. Let’s get to endgame before complaining about endgame.
Chill.
Correct, I gave miner as an example in the example of a way the Devs could create a specialty for people to follow.
Later in the thread:
To which I replied:
So by no means am I suggesting full limitations 1 path only. Again I put that as an example. This is why discussions are needed not just attacks as some people seem to be doing in here.
To which received the following response:
So I do not think I am being unreasonable by simply suggesting something.
With that said, do you have any other suggestions on a way a player could specialize in gathering or crafting?
I’m not saying it’s unreasonable. I’m saying that Amazon wanted to make “you are what you wear” but you want to make it into specialization instead. I have no suggestion to make it into specialization. I just wish they add more weapons and varieties.
But its not a you are what you wear when talking about Gathering and Crafting, it doesn’t matter what you wear so I fail to understand how asking for specializations prevent you from the 'You are what you wear" game style.
Are you required to wear specific gear to gather anything? No, you may need a specific tool but that’s not exactly the same since you can equip all of the tools.
Fine, it is not you are what you wear but you can do anything and everything. That is the core foundation of the game yet you want to turn it into specialization. Let us say they listen to you and make it into specialized crafting. What is stopping you from asking again to make the gears into a specialized one? this is your suggestion and you are hoping to improve the game so I understand, I was just saying how 180 it will be.
Ok, and the request for specialization is not stopping anyone from doing anything. But I see it from the point of view that people do not want to be limited but that is exactly where the title comes from “No hard choices, just time commitment”. Of course this is in regards to Crafting and Gathering.
However I am a bit confused where you state:
What exactly do you mean by specialized gears?
games been out for 2 weeks and people seem to think that this is all the content we are getting.
I don’t know who thinks that, considering you can just look at the map and tell there is definitely more to the land.
Can you explain why you think this?
you seem to think that professions are the end all be all of your choices in the game or that there wont be future choices and progression
if you want to specialize in something go ahead. thats the thing about it, new world gives us all that choice
No, actually I expect them to expand on it, but I do not know if my suggestion is a part of those plans so I am putting forth my feedback so they can take it into consideration if they read this.
Much like Corwan has been doing, you seem to be jumping to conclusions without even asking a clarifying question.
Nor do you read what was wrote considering the two previous posts:
To which I already replied:
Thus I already said looking at the map you can see there is more land. So saying:
Means you already are twisting the truth of the matter and lying about what I said. Look I can admit if I mis-understand something, but I don’t see how it is possible you could have read this and not understood it unless done intentionally.
On top of all that, you also seem to have missed the point regarding the specialization request. Again, limiting one self is not specializing in anything. You need to assume that all players max everything they can, with this assumption how does 1 stand out from the other? They do not. The closest would be if someone got a rare drop design that others do not have yet. but that does not make them a specialist. it makes them lucky they got a drop sooner than you did but you can easily just the same thing with a matter of time.
Again, pointing at the title of the thread “No hard choices, just time commitment” thus my point still stands.
you wont be specialized in anything tho lol.
THOUSANDS of players per server would still have one of very limited options.
that is by definition not specialized
a brain surgeon is a specialist because there are very very few of them that do something unique.
the person that works the grill at mcdonalds is not. because there are many others who can and could do the exact same thing.
“limiting one self is not specializing in anything”
brain surgeons are specialists BECAUSE of the choice to limit themselves to one area, not in spite of it.
are you really gonna insinuate that they didnt have the option to be a general practitioner?
who are you trying to convince?
have some self control.
not even expand on comments of “lying” & “twisting the truth” after you get so lost in some sad attempt at word soup that you forgot about or chose ignorance of the literal first two words
on a forum that everybody can read.
sigh
1: The world currently has 2.25k players per server so your statement that here is confusing.
On top of that, there are 17 trade skills. Assuming we get to the magical 10k/server they said they wanted that means if equally split around 588 players per server would be specialists in that specific trade skill. I personally think if only 588 players out of 10k player could do something the other 9,400+ players could not would be considered specialized regarding that 1 specific trade but they may be specialized in something else.
2: This here kind of proves my point. So Lets say I want to be a Brain Surgeon in NW, maybe my Friend wants to be Dentist and someone else wants to be Cancer doctor but the ONLY option right now is for everyone is to be the General Practitioner.
And what two words exactly are you talking about?
If you’re talking about the words:
My response was more directed at your false statement at the end of that sentence indicating that 'I think:
When clearly the post right before it states:
Which means obviously that there is no room for me to think there wont be and choices and progression. However I am not looking to the future and just hoping it works out. I am actively engaged in putting forward my thoughts so that when they decide to add choices and progression maybe my suggestion will be taken into consideration. That is the part you seem to be missing.
If I am wrong with this, please show me where I am wrong.
