No main quest at all since the very begining

In order to start the main story quest with Yonas the Hermit, you need to complete all the town quests in the zone where you spawned, including choosing a faction and completing the first faction mission.

Once you complete the chain, you’ll get a quest to go see Yonas and that should be all you need.
