It’s 2021, please just get it done.
Every Indie game has an official discord for bug reports, direct dev-community communication, guild recruitment, just general chatting and suggestions and feedback.
Discord has 350 million users worldwide, 100 million active users EACH MONTH, everybody is using discord.
Why is this game living in 2010 communication wise??
Cannot get beyond the rules page, reacting to the post - clicking the emote icon tick does nothing.
EDIT: seems there is a problem with Discord itself from the UK actually.
Not usually on light days but if a lot of people are trying to get in at once, possibly. Think of it as a crowd of people trying to get into a tiny gap in a fence.
I get that. Just bitch at the relevant people that the users are angry they picked an outdated, terrible strategy for patching and they should put every available resource on moving to a regional patching strategy. You guys are using AWS, you should be able to spin up patched servers, shut down the unpatched servers, perform any database changes and then open up the patched servers. There is zero reason this should take more than an hour. Other MMOs figured this stuff out a decade ago.
“Trust me, you do not want me working on that… the only “dev” thing I know how to do is “print(hello)” and I’m not even sure if that’s right.”
Not bad , but close to the exact thing.
It’s : print(“Hello”); when you put “” around Hello, the program will know you want to show a text. without, he will consider it as a computer variable (with no definition), so … ERROR.
