Patch shows the developers don’t know what direction they want to head and that they are very shortsighted.
But that doesn’t matter to some i guess.
Patch has given me no reason to continue playing and made it objectivily worse.
I am sure adding 3 new mob types while your base game only has 5 can be considered a sweeping success, but not when you compare it to other games, lol.
So much content? One broken weapon. That’s what they added. The rest is basically nothing. And they just removed the little endgame content that was there by completely breaking the elite zones.
I don’t mean to be rude but your expectations must be low? FFXIV releases patches every three months and has done so without fail for the past 10 years. The content is two, three, and sometimes four times larger than the patch you just experienced here in NW.
I love NW just as much but my expectations for content of this game are not where I would expect them to be, which is to say until NW can release the amount of content as companies like Square Enix and while World of Warcraft wasn’t consistent, they “used” to release large patches all though WoW is basically dead now.
TL: DR - You need to experience other games before making false claims
There’s a lot to this. As I’ve progressed, the mobs haven’t really changed. The guys that were angry corrupted farmers became miners and then I fought them on the seashore. I guess they gave up mining for piracy.
I’d like to see some more variety. Edengrove is a good example. New mobs and a totally new environment when you arrive. I expect that new quests and zones will come as the game evolves. Once they get a handle on bugs, performance, and balance, they can focus on the new content.

What if I told you I played the mold this game was built from for 10 years and it was objectively a better game in every aspect? Sometimes you have to make due with what people are playing.

No big surprise they only pop up at the hours they do and happen to appear in groupings of posts rather than being spread out across a span of time like the organic posts in these forums are.
Stop getting baited. Nobody who actually plays this game - regardless of whether they like it or hate it - speaks so vaguely and briefly when going out of their way to create a topic on it.

I’ll take a stab at it. Tencent Dong Xi’s are not posting non stop negative shit on the forums to ruin the game for everyone because it’s literally their game.

Darkfall - it’s still running today actually. Literally every single mechanic in this game mainly comes from darkfall. It’s actually really exciting.
Yeah, EQ is still running as well. I played it for 10 years and NW reminds me of some of the mechanics from it. Camping NPC’s the grind all of it. I do like the grind the game offers in NW. I know a lot of the heavy sweat boys want to epeen through it, but I don’t mind the grind that is designed to slow you down.
I never played Darkfall though.

The newest content are just remaining stuff that was being developed lately or HUGE bugfix.
As a software engineer, I can see the effort of AGS to align their pace, but I dont lie to myself. They were not ready when decided to release NW.

If goes in a restaurant that offer only 5 type of food, and add 2 apple ro the menù, is not a great restaurant.
New world is so lacking in weapon and enemy,one of the worst.
