Not a fan of these balance changes

Dude, c’mon, use some common sense…the update they released was already in the works and planned, the feedback if for future updates…be realistic. Criticism is valid, but don’t be a “tell me you know nothing about development without telling me you know nothing about development” people.

No im fully watermarked i dont run that anymore, i just do laz runs and genesis runs

What this patch has done… is ended solo adventuring.

Spliato Caverns in Shattered Mountains good example. Heavy Armor, Great Axe with Ancient Bane and Brilliant Topaz. Last week I could solo the Faction Quest, it was not easy but it was doable. After the patch I can barely kill one mob at a time before they kill me first.

Mobs hit harder…
Mobs have more hitpoints…
The named level 62 silver elite, which I barely killed before he killed me last week, TWO shots me now with 9800 hitpoints in heavy armor

So now I can’t solo, content to complete faction quests, that just last week I could. How is this change made? How is this change made, without putting it in patch notes? How is this change made without testing? Why make solo faction questing IMPOSSIBLE, yet not allow us to share quests to get help from others so they can get Coin/Tokens and Reputation?

Totally unacceptable

I think you hit the nail on the head, right? The PTR was released too close to the scheduled release for much of the feedback to be implemented in that build, which was the player expectations. The lack of changes in the next release created the impression that none of the feedback was listened to or influenced the work the team was doing. So when future builds reflect the feedback we gathered it likely won’t overturn the impression of feedback being ignored. The team does understand this and we’ll continue to improve the way we use PTR moving forward.

Hello Mugsy, Do you have any news regarding FishBots? They are still exist and ocuppated 3 stars fishing spot. Why they are not punishing after reports? Is somebody checking that reports?

Weapon balance is an ongoing process. While during other phases of development it might not have been our top priority, you will see continued work there now that we are in a live service state.

That’s your problem - scheduled , getting totally botched patch in time for some unrealistic deadline some clueless manager set for the dev team was more important than delivering a quality release.
That not how it should work.
I’ll repeat - you are running out of time, player count is dwindling day after day.
Either you guys start fixing all the mess you did and properly testing your fixes before unleashing hordes of bugs upon the players or this project will be dead in 3-5 months.

We do review these reports. In addition to other methods of detection. I believe when it comes to botting we handle them in massive sweeps. I don’t want to speak to much about the process because my understanding is information about our methods to identify and deal with bots would be useful information for the folks who create them.

It also does not help that the changes most long term players would care about were not even on the PTB. It would have been apparent very early on that the elites have been overtuned, of course everyone is going to hate nerfs to loot drops - but things like changing people’s existing items, items flat out missing from the loot table and thus people’s inventory, etc. is going to drive people nuts.

Please start including this stuff in patch notes, give players the good and the bad - or we’re just going to find out through other players who are already pissed off and keep amplifying each other’s disappointment as we pass that information along.

There are level headed people out there who read the patch notes and calm down the alarmists in the community, it doesn’t happen that way if the information isn’t presented ahead of time.

Ahh yes, fully agree with this… as we all know it will trickle down from the haves. The have-nots will just have to wait for the trickle down to begin, which may take a while.

For example, in the real world we’ve been waiting for the trickle down effect since the 1980s and it has yet to begin.

So it may take a while. Just be patient. It will.

We agree that we need to improve on the thoroughness of our patch notes. Folks are assigning malicious intent to error or oversight. We don’t purposefully leave notes out, we are working as a team to make sure we’re better at catching and communicating all changes.

Rightfully so, to be honest. Leaving out that you’ve given nearly 10x buffs to certain elites health pools and nerfed drop rates from elite chests by a factor of 4x (maybe higher) is a pretty big oversight.

More importantly, put it on the PTB. I get that you don’t want people meta gaming before it’s even on live - until you can build better trust within the community that’s not going to work out well with how things have presented thus far.

amen brother 100% truth speaking and i dont understand who came up with this idea

My take is more along the lines of, games were better when devs didn’t have to meet greedy sales targets.

just revoke all the nerves loot wise the daily chest runs were love and needed for everyone. plus the swordmasters are way too overtuned one hitting 15k heavy armor tanks like the og world bosses in bdo … kisses

Patch notes are pretty much a “logbook” for a lot of players. Not saying everyone does this, but personally I check patch notes of pretty much every game I play or intend to play. It gives me a fair assessment of current balance, the focus of the development team, and most importantly the frequency of changes. I’ll list some examples.

GW2 did a massive overhaul at the beginning of 2021- and stated that they were shifting their focus to PvP and the balancing of it. One of the things they stated was monthly balancing patches. They have had 2 significant balance patches since then. I, as well as the majority of my community discord, don’t bother logging in- because they obviously did not live up to their OWN standard.

Albion online use to do a monthly balance patch. As of the last 8 months or so, however, those balances became more spread apart… month turned into every other, every other turned into once a season. (Typically updates slow down when budget is low, or game is dying).

My point being, I don’t think the majority of us are “mad” because of stealth-patches… I think we’re more so upset because it can hurt the player base, and it can also give some pretty unfair advantages to players who discover those nerfs/buffs before the majority. Patch notes should be mirrored to a logbook, if a change is made- log it down. Reviewing the notes are just as important as the changes themselves.

You guys didn’t even have the changes on the PTR. Where you’re supposed to. So yes it was malicious. Because your company KNEW you would get backlash and just pushed all these beyond terrible changes to the live servers with people on the PTR even seeing or experiencing them. Stop lying. We get it. You guys are trying to kill the game so then you guys can run with the money. Especially since you’ve already made more money than you spent on it (public record).

There’s no point. You may as well not tell anybody anything because none of you listen to anything the community has to say. You put a bunch of shitty balance changes on the PTR (only some changes mind you, not all. Because ya know, that’s only logical) and get tons of negative feedback about it and how nobody wants that and then you proceed to just push it out anyway. Gotta be the most dense group of devs ive ever seen.

And then, say there’s a reason for all that above. Perhaps a valid one. Do you communicate that to anyone? NOPE. Because y’all are HORRIBLE at communication too. So bravo. Keep digging that hole.

You understand how this looks though?

This ‘oversight’ or ‘error’ that just so happened to screw over a lot of the players but boosts these prized statistics.

It’s a bit of a big accident to just accidentally not have this in the PTR, accidentally not put it in the patch notes, accidentally boost elite HP, accidentally nerf the loot pool considerably.

Talk about a comedy of errors right?
