I am beginning to feel disheartened with the game and I think your response highlights the reasons for my key issues.
That’s data. Ones and Zeros. It doesn’t show player passion, determination or demonstrate the fun factor. All you seem (and I mean seem) to do is look at the numbers. You see watermark progression, and crafting progression “operating outside of expected parameters” and you blanket nerf both.
I do wonder how many of your team log on to the game in the evening after work, excited to reach that next level or milestone and honestly think “you know what? This needs to take 3 to 10 times longer. It needs to be more grindy, maybe even a group activity!”.
I’d be interested to see the results of the survey too. I know that my response was that I felt crafting was “just right”. Because it was. You say you are listening to feedback, and I have no reason not to believe you, but I am really struggling with this one.
I’m a crafter, it’s what I enjoyed doing. I only have 4 skills left to max. But now I log on, stare at my crafting page, and sigh. I simply cannot bring myself to progressing them.
The endless hours of mining, trying to scrape together some coin so that I can purchase the refining materials instead of spending 8 hours gathering them. Trying to find somewhere to store them even remotely close to the few places that have the station tiers to refine them… all for a couple of points towards my goal.
So yeah, now I log in, stare at a window, and chat to the few friends that I have made. This game is just a pretty chat lobby for me. It’s a real shame.
I’m going to log back in now, as the maintenance is over. I’ll see if any of my friends are online, and if they aren’t I’m going to see if I have the stomach to try and gather the 64207 Orichalcum ore, 74085 Starmetal, 41621 Iron Ingots and 34247 Obsidian flux that I need to level one of my skills. Sounds like fun right?
