Not authorized to continue playing

I’m getting this issue too and my internet is fine :frowning:
Played the first 5 mins of the game like 6 times and the bug happens consistently.

I’ve tried several servers and they are all having the issue. I think your servers are broken.

I have the same issue. This was experienced in “BETA” testing as well. I was hoping this would be fixed by now.

None of this works or applies to my setup. The game files corrupt and I have to redownload a 5GB pack to fix this … just to play another 15 minutes and go through this issue again :frowning:

I have the same problem! I tried playing NW for two days, but lags and freezes are impossible to do!
How many days must pass for the players who bought the game to be able to play it? There were no such problems on CBT and OBT! Are you testing the game on release again?

People are tired of sitting in lines, getting kicked out of the game due to errors and getting back in line again!

Try verifying the integrity of your local files in Steam. I was having the same issue and that seemed to fix it. Right click on the game in your library list > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files

I’ve being playing fine since launch now all of a sudden today i’m getting the ‘you are not authorized’ error message and it disconnects me…

just did the validation of the files and it found 3 corrupt ones - fixed those and now it seems fine

I have this issue too - only started getting this issue after the latest patch.
sighs been disconnected 10 times already, and im sure my internet is fine

Doesn’t work !

I was in the open beta, no issues. And the first 2 days (queue aside) it was working fine, I was able to play without any issues.

But now at random times in the game, the game freezes, and some times it resolves itself, but other times I get the “not authorized to continue playing” message.

Have tried ALL the steps on this page, but the game continues to freeze at random. At this point it is unplayable, especially with the queues.

Having the same issue. No problems in open beta, now every day I get this error at least once. Today has been the worst so far. It seems to happen randomly, sometimes in town, sometimes gathering, sometimes just running around. None of the suggested fixes have worked.

Same issue here. No issues in Closed or Open Beta, now suddenly getting this. Haven’t had any issues since I started playing in the Closed Beta and today I’ve had 4 crashes in 3 hours.
I have 2 PC’s that are able to run New World and can confirm this happens on both of them as of today.

Played in cbt and obt, week after release, but today I started to getting this error, not even 5 minutes of play, more like one. I doubt issue on my side, since nothing have changed since yesterday, no new soft, pc components or anything like that. But yeah, today I can’t play even for 5 mins.

when i try to connect i get back to Main Menue…

same issue. updated all the drivers connected account tried to verify integrity of files and now i cant even use my shortcut to login i have to go straight from steam which wasnt an issue before trying the steps.

Same issue for me. Nothing has changed with my computer or my internet since the update on 10/6/21. I can only get into the game after reloading after being kicked and I’m only in the game for about 5-10 minutes before being kicked again. Really makes the game unplayable and would love to hear if there is a fix.
