Can’t really seem to find anywhere that this has been mentioned, but I’m not getting my steam achievements even though I’ve already gained that exact same achievement in the game itself. For example, I’ve crafted 3000+ engineering items but still don’t even have my “Craft 100 Engineering Items” achievement on steam.

I have this same problem. Only three of my achievements showed up in Steam, and none of the other ones have at all. I’m launching out of Steam, and have my Steam and Amazon accounts linked, so I don’t think there’s anything else I can do, on my end.

Well I got a hold of Amazon support and they said its a problem on Steam’s side. The “Steam UI” in their words. so now i have a support ticket open with Steam but under “The Game won’t download or install” because most other options lead to just saying to contact Amazon.
One thing i’m wondering is did you ever use a different Amazon account for Steam or New World? I’m wondering if they have it poorly linked some how because I do have 2 Amazon accounts I use.
No, I’ve never logged onto another amazon account via New World or Steam. So it’s definitely not that. If Steam finds a solution, would you mind poking me? I’ll also set up a ticket with them.

I was worried it was poor linking on my part due to amazon accounts but glad to know that’s not the case at least.
any other account stuff? I ordered it in April 2020 so my account has got some age and I was many alpha and beta events. If you ordered much more recently then I am kind of stumped.
Maybe its some sort of admin permission where Steam can’t connect with my game? I run a lot of stuff as admin though.
So I think I found a fix.
I made a new character, just a random server on NA West with no queue since I play on NA West.
As soon as my guy started crawling out of the water the achievement pop ups started raining in.
Not a fix, I’ve tried multiple servers, no difference. 75 hours played, 6 days since my first start, 0 achievements here.

Big surprise. Steam just replied with a general “how achievements work” and said if they weren’t unlocking then its likely a game bug.
So Amazon says its Steam’s fault and Steam says it’s Amazon’s fault.
Not quite sure what happened, but I logged in and I just randomly got all of my achievements. Maybe they implemented a fix lately?
They did have a patch today and according to Steam is very much on Amazon’s end. I cross checked achievements and believe I got all the ones I earned so I imagine over time everyone will get theirs one way or another.
Yep got all mine after the patch, logged in and bam, 21 achievements at once… Sucks that they do these like this, because it looks like you cheated if all achievements are unlocked at the same time… But hey, what can we expect from a small indie game developer like Amazon right?
