Not getting xp while in a party

So im not getting xp while in a party

So im starting to think this issue extends beyond where i originally saw it, however it all started when i noticed that during random times in the dungeon amrine I would suddenly stop receiving xp. Usually when i would be close to a fight and not hit an enemy or i would be hitting enemy’s and only get xp from one or two.
This only seems to affect my character (checking with party members via voice chat) and I cannot reproduce it reliably to record it.
I’m going to try to get a recording if someone will take me in without me wasting an orb.
More recently ive noticed that during certain hours this issue pops up more for example i just got done playing amrine at roughly 8:45 about half of the dungeon i didnt get xp from the mobs killed. On the other hand i tend to play late and i never notice this issue during the hours of 12-2 still in a party i seem to level up faster as well as get more weapon skills.

This does not affect my trade skills at all but it does affect my weapon skills. ive also had the bug occur a few times during fishing but i thought it was a thing till i asked someone about why it does that … lol.

I would say that my only solution has been to simply keep grinding away or trying to do alot more damage to the mobs. if i am extremely active in the fight i tend to see the issue less. as i do less damage or pause for a second(overencumber strikes again) it seems to stop registering till i run back in and get my dps back up.

A great way that i can always force this to happen is join a party and do no damage or heals. this is easier to achieve in a dungeon like amrine as if your in the main world and you deal enough damage to something else it will start granting xp again.

All players withing a party will need to do a x amount of damage to an enemy in order to be awarded xp for the kill! It could be harder the bigger the party thought.

In that case, group xp is bugged. I’ve been awarded XP for kills when I’ve been off picking flowers or fishing or typing and not contributing damage at all!

So my confusion here is that our healer in the party isnt doing any damage or even healing and he is getting xp while i am not. we sat together next to a fight and he got 8 xp per minion for a group of 12 while i only got 8 xp for one of the minions.

Also my second point of confusion comes from the large amount of material on this subject on line that states you will get xp in a party as long as someone from your party kills it. This seems to happen to everyone but me

Yeah this forum support person has no idea how the game works. He thinks you mean in a big zerg non grouped. Sorry I can’t help you more as I’ve never seen this and I still get credit doing nothing.

Same issue. Ive gotten tons of XP no contribution and a good ways away from fight and Ive contributed and received noting.
