Notes from an achievement hunter

Hi, I wanna begin by saying I’m going to avoid talking about bugs and known issues with achievements, I appreciate the progressive fixes that come and understand that they’ll be here eventually like how the 260 stat point achievements were recently fixed.

So this post is about the current state of some achievements, and realistic goals and updates that might make the game more accomplishable. Also I understand this is an MMO and that there should be objectives that take a long time to reach.

Let’s start with the PvE and PvP by territory missions… using Cutlass Keys as a reference (one of the quickest zones) assuming we have the quests, Preserve and Sanctify, the two easiest quests, a lap of this while flagged takes approximately 8 minutes, with no distractions
(no PvP, no chests) Now we factor in the other quests we get; Enemy Intel and Triumph. With current fort cap times this takes closer to 17 minutes now. Assuming we’re going for max efficiency these would be abandoned meaning waiting 5 minutes for new quests, with no guarantee your going to get the ones you want after. (Alternatively it is generally likelier to do Preserve + Sanctify one lap, and Triumph + Enemy Intel, every other lap. Using realistic times with no distractions 3 laps of preserve and sanctify takes around 37-40 minutes. Therefore
6 missions = 40 minutes. 500 missions = 55 hours… of consistent grinding. Now we have to do PvE missions which are much more inconsistent, you could get 3 missions in the same spot, taking 4 minutes per lap, or in Mourningdale E.g. You could get Corvus, Vela and Ramshead taking 15 minutes per lap. totaling closer to 40 hours. Overall we are
talking about 100hours of running back and forth with no benefit, per territory! for some achievements that don’t even have titles! I personally don’t have a resolution for the absurd amount of time these achievements take other then reducing the amount required maybe from 500 > 100, please suggest any ideas in the comments.

Next we have missing/unobtainable lore pages which have been mentioned in other posts but i will address here aswell:

Removed (Unobtainable) Lore Pages
- Tales of Aeternum
	>"Musings Of A Watcher" - Page 1 & 2
	>"A Prayer to the MotherWell" (Quest Locked)
- Tales of Reekwater
	> Meplomene's Journal > Death (Page 4)(Doesn't update Journal)
- Tales of Everfall
	> "Everfall's Wreckage" - Page 1
- Tales of Monarch's Bluffs
	> "The Fall" - All Pages 1, 2 & 3
	> "Unknown Explorer" - Page 6 & 8
- Tales of Windsward
	> "Ichabod's Journal" - Page 7
	> "Grenville's Journey" - Page 6, 7, 8 & 13
	> "Grenville and the Temple" > Page 1 (Quest Locked)
- Tales of Weaver's Fen,
	> Hazel's Journey - Page 14
- Tales of Mourningdale
	> Posted Notes, and Public Bills - pages 1 and 3

Next is the ‘General Contractor’ achievement, by far the most unrealistic in the entire game, there are 3 ways to earn this; Invasions - where if you dont own the territory the leading company will almost always have their dedicated repairers. Wars - (throwing, by wasting time upgrading siege weapons that get destroyed in 3 seconds. Or OPR - farming wood for 20 minutes straight and repairing a door while enemies attack it. in 100 days of playtime, while actively seeking this achievement I have managed 18,000 repairs. 1Million is simply not achievable, maybe 50K?

Next is Territory Standing, now I like the packages added with the Summer patch, and 300 levels isn’t necessarily too much but the xp requirement is absurd. One of my friends now has 128 days played, and his highest territory standing is 93. I’m on the verge of 100 days, and my highest is 76. I personally believe halving or at least significantly reducing the xp requirement per level would mean players were more aware of their levels increasing and more inclined to get them up for the benefits provided. But still be high enough that it required a large amount of play time to achieve.

That’s my rant over, thanks for the continues support in this game, I hope this post can just receive some awareness from the devs, sorry it was so long.

P.S. Can we please have ‘Vambrace of Corrupted Rage’ gloves added back to the game.

I agree with you about the broken lore documents, territory standing being a pain to level, and super grindy achievements.

A few suggestions for areas that have pages locked behind quests that may require a specific entrance key item . . .

  1. Have the locked area be open to the player once the quest is complete
  2. Make reading the lore page a part of the quest so it can’t be missed
  3. Move the lore page out of the locked area and into the open world
  4. Move the lore page to a more visible location within the locked area

also . . . I would like more achievement titles to be added :sparkles:
