Nothing to do at Lvl 60?

What type of content did you want to other than outpost rush. To be clear most mmos only have a small number of activities for max level players

Based on the developers repeatedly nerfing the town board, and one of them stating that it wasn’t intentional for players to only do town board missions over and over using death as a “free” teleportation mechanism - yes, I’m pretty sure that qualifies as an exploit.

I was willing to have a reasonable debate but saying this you’ve just lost all credibility. I “exploited” the game by completing quests… amazing.

If we would be still in the year 2005 this would be true. We’re in 2021, MMORPGs have developed plenty of activities available for max level players in the last 15 years.

I mean, it’s not my definition of it, but do as you will I don’t need to debate about it, I do town board missions alongside my side quests, I don’t teleport myself through death, I don’t go to spots just to farm exp…
I play the game properly and I just hit 51 from 149 hours.

So did I and I’ve been 60 for the last week. Your point being?

To be clear, any deviation from how you are leveling is considered not playing the game properly?

No…?
Again, it isn’t my definition. Someone posted comments from an AGS employee that was discussing in-game exploits and potential character resets and “town board exploits” were one of the listed things being explored.

Edit: the boarsholm farm was also a major talking point as well, which is why they nerfed the farm, and what began the topic of discussion about character resets from players found excessively exploiting systems.

Okay so only if AGS deems it an exploit publicly is it not proper correct?

?
I mean if the developers are saying it’s an exploit in their game, then I’m pretty sure that justifies it being called an exploit by players, right?

Agreed.

So death ports are proper.
Mass mob farming is proper.
Town board spam is proper.

Right?

Legitimately asking in case AGS called those out. Looking for some CYA ya know.

Oh, no. I don’t know where the discussion took place, some dude was talking about it in another thread and mentioned it was on a twitter/Reddit discussion.

Death porting intentionally isn’t “proper” but then I don’t know how they’d find out about that unless they’re monitoring outgoing damage too - seems too complicated to prevent tbh.

Mob farming obviously isn’t as they’ve already nerfed several mob farming sites - I don’t know if they’re going to actually punish players for this though, and again, how do they actually identify that? Do they monitor how long players spend in specific areas?

TB been a problem since closed beta, and they just keep repeatedly nerfing - I wouldn’t be surprised if they just reworked the TB entirely to prevent exploitation.

for example what?

no it doesnt, ppl found some exploitable bosses.

Called it.
Step 1: find a ‘trick’ that gains you fast xp
Step 2: quickly grind it to 60 before they find out and remove the trick
Step 3: complain

99% of my gametime is and will always be solo. Hoping to see more End Game solo content grinding like PoE. Where you do elite maps.

With that said now that I’m 60 I’m working on professions and gear score which is a solo activity really. The trying to keep my coin up. Crafting is end game if you want to get fancy with unique builds using Perks.

Also have only used 3 weapons, so a lot of build options to explore for 60 lvl players. Find a solo farming build and run with it.

Because at some point they will unlock levels higher than 200? Like, up to 500-600? Not sure about 500, but I talked with guys from new-world.guide and they are saying that all the data to unlock higher levels already part of the game

I think what he means by end game content, is like what everyone thinks of when they think of end game content… WoW. I completely feel that, now ik there’s ppl who like working on professions like its RuneScape. But a lot of people I’ve talked to recently who want more end game content look for that content like you do in the big MMO’s. Weekly locked raids, pvp arena’s, mount farming(granted this game doesn’t have mounts), Harder versions of the current dungeons/expeditions to get really good gear, the list goes on. This might only be me, but the problem is there is… open world pvp, which gets dry after awhile since you get rewarded with nothing, yeah you can argue about wars and taking over towns, but the baseline is the open world pvp is meh. Expeditions get dry, they dont get harder and farming the crystals doing portals is bleh. Professions are probably one of the only ok things but when you’re maxed… then what? Your house is just meh compared to something like Final Fantasy. After all that’s considered there is literally nothing to look forward too, to grind out. And you’re left with these weapon quests that give you a little more damage that really only shows improvement in PvE since PvP is scaled. Now will this change my mind about playing the game, probably not, it’s still a fun game and new, and I’m sure there will be tons more content to come. But the current state of the game feels like we only got a hint of what we can actually achieve, instead of a massive MMO.
