So i have 3 houses that i need for my trophies, I NEED THEM to craft gear with my 200 armoring-jewelry for my company members!
before the 90% i would pay 2k because most of the taxes in cities were 5% but now i pay 3k in total for taxes because every town’s tax is 10% extreme!
the companies that own the town are refusing to reduce the tax because they have snowballed to best gear in the game with the infinite coin that they got from the towns so now no one can beat them they know that they cannot lose so they are now bullying the entire server! this is not acceptable…
and before u start saying 3k is nothing u can make it in a day lemme ask u this WHY SHOULD I PAY THE COMPANIES WHO ARE ALREADY MAKING MILLIONS OF COINS TO UPGRADE THEIR GEAR EVEN MORE WHEN I NEED THE COIN TO UPGRADE MY OWN GEAR !!???
I bought t1 houses just for trophy placement and cheap travel. Anything larger and you’re paying thousands of gold per week to people with no incentive to ever lower the taxes.
Even the tiny house in reek behind the trade post that cost me about 2k (with faction cheapness at the time) is running 450/5 days at the moment.
Dont fall into a sunk costs fallacy. Abandon your homes, buy the cheapest one in each of those towns if you still need to go there.
Look at how much these stupid taxes would cost you over time and you’ll realize just buying a new tiny house is a considerable savings in a couple weeks.
You may need to downsize your storage. Take your spare crap to the outposts up north or the lowbie towns you dont go to, and stash it since those are usually the last to fill up.
It could literally be months before this changes or is addressed again, so do the math
This is ridiculous. Were companies short on gold from taxes? No not at all. there are still players that don’t belong to big companies and will not control a territory so you this just creates an extreme gap between the haves and have nots. Guess I will have to quit using my houses since the taxes are out of control. Would anyone like to explain what is the positive in taxes going up 400%? Why would you try to eliminate parts of your game for people to enjoy? Is the goal to make it so that people wont use trophies anymore? So that people wont buy houses? Give me 1 good reason why it is an option to make property taxes this high? Bad move AGS
