Now i see why light melee is so popular

it’s not hard to make 1vX in heavy armor. people usually, when they have a numerical advantage, play very badly, because they are desperate for a kill.

cant be… melee is garbage all say

That’s what I’m telling you, people play badly when they have a numerical advantage.

What the actual fk…LOL

Then they come and complain on the forums that Heavy is OP  or SnS or WH or whatever other things they can come up with.

yeah, people play very badly when they have a numerical advantage.

There are several 1vX videos on the channel, most in OPR, feel free to watch them.

I honestly don’t know if any class is OP in the current meta. I think it’s more of a game design and opr map issue, which favors dodging or playing from a distance, than something really op.

I agree with the not OP stuff (with 1 exception, i think Heavy with the new fort cap (in group play), is absolutely ridiculous, and will probably be looked at?!?!)
There are frustrating things, and some things might be slighly overtuned but that is part of the game… there will always be frustrating things in any game.

That being said, I do not think the game favors ranged play.
As a tank myself i think the game heavily favors melee (STILL), especially in OPR and Wars. They are point capturing endevours, at which melee excels at… KDR matters not, DMG matters not, the only thing that matters is taking and holding points.

Agree.

I disagree with this part, because the point capture can be completely secondary.

maybe if the score generation was higher (much higher) when capturing a point or fighting inside the fort, then yes it would favor melee more.

in war really, melee dominates.

What i mean to say, is nothing in OPR is more important then taking the points, chasing down ranged dmg dealers and killing them, even if succesful does very little to further the goal of winning the fight and as such taking and holding points is the most important thing you can do in OPR, and heavy melee + healers excell at doing so.

If you are completely overpowering the enemy team, sure u can just spawn camp them… but it’s not something you would expect to happen in an enviorment where both teams are of equal skill (which is not… hopefully it will be once we have cross-server and some ranked system).

Exactly, and war is the closest real representation to “balance” we have… because its the closest we can get to a enviorment where people are matched by skill and have an idea of what they are doing.

also in nearly every pve aspect ( in terms of cc, rends etc )

unfortunately, I wanted more presence of ranged weapons in pve.

Dude if you cant understand why something that works well will work ok (maybe with some small teaks) on any larger scale and why this does not work any way around. Well you are on that picture you attached. Won’t bother to explaing you. But all ppl that were saying what you say and i know from game were potatos running LMB mele. So i will assume you are same tier of player and that is one of reasons you cant undersand how ballancing should and normaly is done.

More like you cannot because u have 0 grasp on the PvP scene of the game, nor do you understand why a certain build is over performing or under performing, u dont even understand ur own insuficiencies and u blame it on the game.

Unlike you (someone that is constantly complaining about how others play), I’m the one saying that my playstyle is OverPowered in the current balance, which is around group play. Not because of weapons or other crap that someone like you would come up with, but because the NEW fort cap that makes a Heavy Tank Build take no DMG.

SnS is a little annoying but calling it op is cope. Press block.

Agree.

Was it hard to adjust to dying in 4 or less range attacks?
