Now that the Property Tax will be reduced (a good thing imo)…what about New World Territory Standing Bonuses? And what about the people who made large monetary housing decisions based on these Taxes?
Are there any plans to hopefully allow us to change the Territory Standing Bonus choices? For instance, in one territory all I chose was the Property Tax reduction, which is now about as worthwhile as the Exp gain. I understand and applaud the dynamic quality of life changes that New World is going through, so I would hope that we wouldn’t be locked into decisions made under a different New World.
What about people who chose a certain territory for a home due to the previously larger Property Tax? Or better yet, the people who aren’t as well off financially who decided to go with T1 housing in light of the fear of not affording Property Taxes on a larger home. Now they are out 2500g or 5000g or 7500g, when they might have just saved up for that T4 instead. Hopefully are there plans to be able to sell, recoup, or better yet as in real life apply that 2500g equity into a T4 house via upgrade of sorts?
Bump. Totally agree that the lower property taxes will create a more enjoyable experience (especially for casual players like me). BUT if I had known this was coming I would’ve waited to buy all T4 houses and not “waste” my 50% first time buyer discount simply because I don’t have the time to support a tax gold sink. I think it would be well received if we had to option to upgrade (maybe get a discount token that’s worth our house in gold that can applied to next house purchase?).
P.s. Props to the Devs for the changes you’re pushing this month - I like what I see!
The taxes are going to be so low now that they might as well not even be a thing (no point in not having 3 max tier houses). Also, I agree that there needs to be some sort of way to respec Territory Standing Bonuses, especially if they’re going to be constantly tweaking stuff like this.
Yes, a way to upgrade into a bigger home, even if it’s at a slight reduction in investment is a great idea, especially if they dont want to allow selling it.
The abandon thing is kinda weak imo, but i understand why they dont want players to have more than 3 homes meaning tons of storage across the whole map.
I completely understand what you are saying. You are right in a way. BUT PLEASE, if they don’t do anything about it, lets just be happy with the change.
Oh yes most certainty happy with the change and them listening so far. This would be a natural progression in light of the game evolving as all MMOs do.
And tbo, the upgrade suggestion doesnt even affect me as i havent bought a home yet due to tax stress and where to place them. The standing territory bonus with territory reputation increases reset suggestion will be a benefit to all. It seems a little unforgivable at the moment UNLESS they allow you to get all of the bonuses on the way to 300 max rep. I might be wrong but i thought storage at least was a get it when its an option or lose it type thing.
