You crafted 10 items and didn’t get what you wanted.
Nice sample size.

Ouch
It’s the cost of each sample. It’s completely untenable.
There should be a mechanism for markedly improving your chance of rolling the perk you want as your crafting skill level improves. Simple. It’s fucking obvious. There are so many perks, 80% of which are useless in any form, to not fix this permanently gimps crafting.
Honestly, it’s worth quitting over.
I’m a crafter in the friend group. And if you only knew what a waste of gold worth a lot of. So if you experienced this, you would throw your computer out the window or something. This is common. kind of gambling. If something happens to you, there are already at least 50 jewelry manufacturers on a server. Everywhere on the server would be bus. Shards are already made easy enough. The current system is fine
Not gonna craft anything atm.
Prices are just crazy.
There is plenty of pretty good stuff around 580-599 on AH for good/okay price.
That means, my char won’t have a perfect 600 GS gear but I have 590+ GS Set (some Legis) with at least 2 good perks for around 50k altogether.
The time I would have spent for farming the perfect gear I instead use to play/train my class better.
I didnt post Bohoo I quit or anything just shared my #"¤% bad luck…
Its actually 11 tries…1+9+1
Yes its not a big sample size, thing is thats what I saved in approx 1000h of gameplay (apart from houses and trophies). Its about 100k gold. This is from normal gameplay… some chestruns, some gathering lots of opr… Im sure some 1337 players can grind this money in a few hours but Im not one of them… Im just an average player (skillwise).
I dont have the patience or will to grind… I already got a fulltime job…I dont need a virtual job as well.
Problem is this shitty rng system TOGETHER with insane cost TOGETHER with bad game economy…
But I learned crafting is not for me in this game so I just sell my timers to whoever controls Everfall so their guild can craft and become even more op.
So why dafuq did you literally level a virtual job then? lol
I enjoy levelling stuff. I leveled jewelcraft pre nerf and it was fun since material cost were decent back then. I would never level it now (I stopped levelling all tradeskills post nerf just because I didnt enjoy it anymore. Was ok when you did quests and gatherered stuff along the way and you could refine and craft that stuff). Now im in SM most of my gametime and ori nodes are camped and I dont feel like going to a lvl 6 area and farm say iron for hours competing with the bots…
Let’s goooo numbers mathematics spread sheets. Fun gameplay.
I have a full time job too. Lots of people do. It doesn’t make you special.
If you don’t like the grind, then MMO’s are not for you. You can’t expect a perfect item after 11 tries. And to be honest if after 1000 hours you only have enough for 11 crafts than that’s on you, not the game or the system. It’s 13 asmodeum per try, right? You obviously had the money to buy your trophies, so you have 3 options:
- pay for Asmodeum cooldowns and get a ton of Asmodeum per day.
- grind out resources (saying they are camped is just a lame excuse)
- quit and go play a game that gives you everything you want immediately.

Bye! You going to buy a life? I’m not going anywhere…yet.
I know you can’t realize this, but the NW game you play is not the game most people want to play. That’s okay, it’s on AGS to find new players. And if you retort we all play the same game you’d just show you live in the shallow end.
Ouch !
I rolled a 600 LIfestaff using a timeless shard the first time ever attempting to craft with a chance at 600. Only had one basic arcane trophy and my GS range was like 581-600 for my odds lol. Had blessed, refreshing divine embrance, 30 focus and a rather shit 3rd perk. All things considered it’s basically BiS for me and I haven’t bothered making another item. My heart goes out to you, but that’s the way she goes, brother.
So you play games that you don’t want to play?
As I said,
thats what I managed to scrape together in 1000h of MY gameplay doing stuff I enjoy… Some pvp, opr, chestruns, portalruns… And thats not counting all gold I spent in taxes, repairs, buying houses, trophies…
Its about 100k of gold worth.
I enjoy doing other stuff in this game BUT IT DOESNT YIELD MUCH GOLD… Comprende?
- I cant really afford my own 10 asmo CD/day… only reason why I can do it is I had a shitload of platinum so I can buy ori ore 1.5g each (plus I mine the occational vein when i find it)… but I cant afford to buy 50 ori ingot/day @ 30g each…
- Thats what I mean… I dont want to work… I want to play.
- I never asked to have everything instantly… Im closer to 50 so Im quite patient. I do enjoy some aspects of this game but they dont yield gold. But you are right in that maybe I should quit because when a game becomes more of a chore than fun its time to move on. Only reason I stay is because I hope they fix the desync in pvp (which is the aspect im still enjoying… atleast before they destroyed GA)…
Crafting isn’t meant for a person, it is meant to be exclusive by the land owners with the wealth to feed the crafter a company and towns worth of coin and mats.
I saw a dev posted not too long ago saying crafting to 200 all skills wasn’t intended to be viable solo. It wasn’t what they envisioned.
I currently 92 fishing 180 Weaponsmith and 200(+) everything else. It would cost me about 1,489,995 coin just in Orichalcum ingots to finish Weaponsmithing from 180-200.
Unless you’re fed materials or coin all crafting is a sink. Enjoy wasting hours and coin. I’d have to dump another 100k+ for a single craft to see any results and even then it’s a crap shoot.
You have to buy the crafting set needed, the food, the trophies
At least your crafting…
180 armoring
160 engineering
170 jewel crafting
You know what I got out of all that farming… Negative 200-300k coin and hundreds of hours.
I also gave over 50k away probably closer to 100k thinking I would get a return from company members… Nah everyone quit.
I ironman all my shit while this game feeds a few players millions of coin.
cant you select a perk with an item and a select a stat with timeless? guaranteeing a 595+ item with at least two chosen values? I’m pretty sure thats basically endgame gear
Why do you even answer that 51-year-old condescending no-life…
