When I first started playing New World, for the first month or so, everything ran (relatively) smoothly and I didn’t have many issues. However, as of recently for some reason, either due to an update in the game or the NVIDIA drivers, the game would randomly freeze up completely, and only audio could be heard playing from that point on. I opened windows event viewer and managed to track down the error message that was associated with it.
i have this same issue although i wasn’t able to see the error message you located. when i experience this freeze my gpu load as seen in task manager drops to 0%. cpu load from 5x% to 18% or so.
the game freeze recovers as the gpu load goes back to normal.

it seems like there are quite a few ppl experiencing this issue recently, most of these people including me had no issues playing the game up until recently (few days ago).
hopefully we can all find a fix soon as this game is currently unplayable for many of us right now. and AGS has not acknowledged this issue yet, perhaps they’re too busy working on the server xfer and trade post issues right now…
