NW devs... beware

Minority? A minority plays NW, no matter how bad the mechanics, designs and systems work. Most players left NW, because they dont enjoy the game, they avoid corrupted systems and they miss the faith, AGS will or is able to change their plans.
Not many people like to be fobbed off with repetitions. How can you realy believe, that players change their minds about NW offering the same stuff over and over again. When the majority dislikes expertise system and you add even more of it (gearscore 625), what makes you think, people would start to like it?

Albert Einstein said, “…it is foolish to do the same and expect different results…”.
I wouldnt disagree Einstein, would you?

I agree. Expertise was already a really dumb idea.
People do not care, a good percentage does not even understand it.
And most of all: no one likes it.

One upping that with Umbral was a real head->table move. Unbelievably ignorant.
No wonder so many people left.

And the Mutators? Make a dungeon crawler out of this game? That is not why 90% people came to New World. Emphasis on World. Not series of minigames for 5 people.

I hope they turn it around now by focusing on the right stuff. Instead of making everyting more and more complicated and boring.

I wouldnt mind servers going down, ags fixing the game, wiping everything and relauching when game is finished. Dont care if it takes couple months or over a year.

This game has some much potential and its been the most fun pvp I’ve ever had, atleast when it doesnt lag and the hitreg actually works.

They can do this without shutting down the servers.

I’m predicting NW going F2P with the March patch.

Please don’t use this word “replayability”… for AGS it means “Oh lets recycle something and turn it into super grind” which mutators cleary proved.

To be honest, not even opening up the next zone would have me excited, as I’m pretty sure it won’t add any more gameplay per say, maybe some questing and maybe some new mats for crafters. Only thing that would be exciting are more PvP “battlegrounds” and more readily available wars. And possibly new weapons after that.

at the rate this game is losing players, you won’t need to “quit”. They’ll shut the whole thing down for you soon. Very little chance this game can rebound at this point.

lol

OR ELSE!!!

How about stop the content no life or ELSE you’ll be bored! lol

Seriously take a break and come back there is no way any game can keep up in 2022.

Do any of you have jobs? I mean dang …

hope you realise that the only “content” they have for march is the blunderbuss. Nothing else or you would have already heard about it.

F2P = total garbage.

They need to just charge monthly subscription and put the money back into the game.

Before you kids reeeeeeeeee and throw a plate of tendies in the floor…it’s the cost of two gallons of gas depending where you live.

I’m down let me pay sub and give me a robust gaming experience.

They are still flagging, but they don’t pvp. Yet they still cry daily about lack of open world pvp.
Go to any expedition area or elite area where people are getting ready to run it, you’ll see different factions flagged and not doing anything but standing next to each other.

While I definitely prefer a sub model, I don’t think at this point I would pay to play this game. If it started as a sub model and everything else was the same, I probably would have cancelled my sub last month.

Uhhh, pretty sure most of the player base is already gone. Compare yesterday to today, at the same time, the total logged into NW is down another 10,000 (49,000 to 39,000). Of course, that’s with the early access to LA. March will be too late.

Well I think the point is a company that has monthly revenue numbers can allow for more budget and RND to build a better game.

Wow has survived for like what 18 years by this model and Eve Online for 19 years.

Those are polished games.

When a company has to look at subscriber numbers weekly , monthly, quarterly they are held more accountable to your game experience.

No one thinks of the company as a business that plays the game. I know this being in software for so many years.

I agree

I am actually shocked the over abundance of legendary items within this game. I remember in Rift in greenscale blight where a legendary dagger dropped and i was the winner. Like Holy that felt awesome! people would inspect you and see a legendary item. But in here its get 590 Expertise and apparently they drop like candy if you have the luck and do the daily elite chest runs.

Legendary items in this game do not have that Legendary feel to them its just a different color and an added useless perk or 2

LA is Dev-light (it’s not an AGS game, but there is some localization and minor stuff), very little in the way of required dev time…so LA revenues can help fund continued work in NW and people who decide they like an isometric, click to move, modestly P2W grinder and wind up spending money there will probably be helping those of us who are staying here.

Yet, 99.9999% legendaries are absolute Garbage! Because of random stats and perks. Most legendaries are totally worthless. It’s not like other games where a Legendary would have attack power and Stats corresponding to the weapon type, making them incredibly valuable.

In Games like Silkroad, a Legendary weapon (Seal of Sun) had an amazing animation that showed what it was. And it had the ability to acquire power beyond normal enhanced weapons. Seal of Suns were so valuable they sold for like 2000 dollars! On average.

Legendaries in New World cannot obtain that value, even if you make them super rare. Legendaries are just 1 quality more than epic. Just a color change.

You might be right, you might not. You are creating a false assumption easily proven wrong. Everything in this game happened before they told us about it.

I would absolutely embrace a subscription model if they would deliver more content.

It always baffles me what a narrow minded view many pve players seem to have of the pvp community. The pvx community is big and extremely varied. I have met players from all walks of life and all age groups in open map pvp. Arenas are less diverse, from the bit of experience I have with it (I hate arenas, they are not my kind of content at all).

The poster in that specific post you seemed to reply to, said simply more open world pvp content, and I very much agree with that. Some fun engaging mechanics, nothing to do with full flag and full loot. I am going out on a limb here, but I believe that is a niche slice of the pvp community. We all pvp, yes, but this simply means player versus player instead of player versus environment. I compare it to enjoying to have an opponent on the other side of table tennis, instead of pushing the table against the wall, then playing against the wall. Pvp tends to be more challenging, as players are less predictable than a programmed environment. I am a grandmother, I have little doubt that gaming overall, but pvp in particular, has aided me to keep my reflexes well honed.

So yes, it is a diverse community, and with diverse taste. I personally enjoy open map pvp, and Lotro, ESO, GW2, all have offered differing takes on this concept, with lots of fun to be had. Swtor and PWI pvp servers did not add any specific pvp map content, and for most parts, even on the pvp servers, there was very little pvp happening.
