NW from my perspective

Intrinsically, the game revolves around PvP. Weather you like it or not, a good majority of what you do aids in the takeover and/or battles that go on.

Learning crafting trades? Yes, you can do this all day in game and thoroughly enjoy it. Whats the end state? Making armor/weaps, food, dye, trophies, etc. Thinking your doing this for your faction or for yourself, behind it all, it’s benefitting someone; the enemy or your faction in the end. The minor details lead to companies gaining wealth and aiding their own helps them win battles against you. Paying taxes to a faction that took over your primary town? You’re now helping them.

Don’t like PvP? Refuse to flag? This may not be your thing and thats totally fine. However, do your part and help out the greater force and do the PvE missions for influence. Everything helps.

This game had PvP as it’s primary focus from the beginning, no matter how much PvE you plug into the game, it will be PvP focused. Thats even if you refuse to see it around you while mindlessly doing other things in game that you think doesn’t affect everyone around you inherently towards the primary fact; this is all for the PvP.

PS. What is your profession? We brought soldiers. Flag up, I’ll see you out there on the battlefield.

Tie in 2c, PvP servers would be a great idea for all the alpha toxic folks to meet up. The way it is now I feel keeps certain people humble.

So just to recap, from your perspective NW is a PvP game. Is that the point of the post?

Its a good perspective just wanting to know if there was a conversation to be had here or if it was just a declaration.

I am hardcore PvP fan but I disagree will all your points.

Plain wrong, You can play from lvl 1 to 60 and watermark your gear to 600 without having to partake one seconde in any PvP activity. You could just ignore totally the colors on the map and the faction chat and NOTHING could change how you play. Its was MEANT to be a PvP game, 2 years ago, But it isn’t anymore .

NEW WORLD IS NO LONGER A PVP GAME

People play as they want. They don’t want to farm factions mission and prefer to chase rabbits and cut grass? Thats fine by me. You cannot force a play style.

Once again, no longer the case.

Just a declaration, because I felt there was some underlying confusion of what people were trying so hard to make the game seem to be. The root of the game hasn’t changed much. A lot of the hardcore PvP’rs feel they will be driven away by PvE’rs and the future development of the game. I enjoy it greatly, never cared if it was full loot or not.

See, you’re the perfect example of a passionate PvP player. I used to be one, I no longer have any expectations. People can try and ignore things all day, from the ground up it still is PvP. Your PvE friends are going to complain about the azoth costs, tell them to flag up to get a change going.

Cool, declaration received. I think next time it could be added to one of the many many other topics about this issue, but hey, its been declared. We can close this thread now.

My declaration is still, at the end of the day, an opinion. If it sparks conversation, how do I stop that? I can close threads? Btw, there was no mal intent behind this post, you shouldn’t take it as an issue with the game either I think. But hey, I’m not the kind of guy to watch the world burn around me and sip tea. I’m a mediator of sorts.

Yes you can close the thread. Delete your comment and add it to one of the many many other topics on the issue to enrich those as your declaration brings nothing new to the table or sparks any kind of conversation.

I cant take this as any mal intent or you bringing issue with the game as a declaration honestly on its own does nothing like that.

If you do not want to watch the world burn then I would suggest making a post on solutions instead of declarations. Maybe not making a post at all and as stated above, enrich one of the many many other topics already on the subject.

As it stands now you are just shouting into a void. This does nothing negative or positive, it does…nothing.

You may see this as not being an enrichment to a crowd that needs to hear it. If I can make some flames go down about expectations, rather than fan them to spread, I consider that a positive post in my eyes. This void is seemingly filled with people that talk to respond and not listen. Your view is coming through as passive pessimism.
