Assuming from Steam stats that NW lost 80% players is false. Ppl are waiting for updates, so they spen less time in the game, but that doesn’t mean they stopped playing. What it does is that the 24 hour peak is lower, since ppl play less and not as many of them happen to be online in the peak hour. So the peak may be 80% but the players who no longer log in wont be -80% but less.
Perfect. it was a slap in the face to everyone who spent hours and hours leveling up weapon and armor and then gathering the materials to make lvl 600 items. this is outrageous. I have no words to say how much I felt betrayed and offended. after 850h im out too. gl.
So you’re saying people are not playing the game… waiting for an update.
What does the first part of that statement say?
probably happened to the release of every new online game in the history of the internet.
There isnt much to say only 2 words. : Bless Online
I think that game had a way more disastrous start as NW and well they released a second X-Pac and its doing good. I guess its troublesome for now but come time it will get better I guess
I can tell you why my girlfriend left and she and I played this game every day when we had the time to play. We spent time exploring the world, doing quests, leveling up.
TL DR: My girlfriend quit the game because she doesn’t like pvp, she didn’t like the idea of the endgame grind and how repetitive and boring it seemed to her, she enjoyed leveling her trade skills but since the update that doubled the experience for them, she basically gave up on that. That was the only thing keeping her in.
The experience from level 1-30 was, in my opinion, the best experience I’ve had in an MMO for a while. The world is gorgeous, the lighting effects, the surroundings the vast regions you get to explore are interesting to journey through. The trade skills are perfect, they give you the feeling of being there, you can see the materials disappearing when you collect them.
From there on out, the walking becomes apparent, environments don’t look as spectacular when you walked through them for the hundredth time. Half of the playtime is just you getting from one direction to the other. Yes quests give you out good amounts of resources to travel for someone who walks sometimes. My girlfriend just traveled because she didn’t want to bother walking because she walked a fair lot. There were times that she just didn’t want to play because she had to walk from one region on one corner of the map to the other region on the other corner. She couldn’t travel to that region because she was running out of azoth as well.
There were weeks where she didn’t feel like logging into the game. Meanwhile, I was playing and I leveled my character to max, because I was curious what’s the endgame like and I won’t be saying what everyone has been saying these past months. You can get the picture if you’ve made it this far into reading this post.
PS: I am still playing this game and I want to remain hopeful that the team will listen to the community more so that they can deliver us a great MMO, which I know New World has the potential to be.
Game is rigged against casuals to sell them QoL. Not a conspiracy theory, its literally their design philosophy, go read the interviews with David. It’s published on websites, and would they risk litigation from one of the largest companies in the world for posting slanderous shit? No.
Don’t you need a stat that shows total unique logins to know how many people left.
Everyone being online in first few days doesn’t mean they quit because they are not all online at same time again.
Is there a stat that shows how many people of the 900k have logged in this week?
Guess it depends on the devs.
Currently I’ve soaked more than 1100 hours into the game, and guess I will continue until i am the last man standing.
Game has its ups and downs, but the core foundation is great.
So guess it all depends on where the devs takes the game.
My opinion?
I just transferred from a dead server (130 people at peak) to a full server and I’ve fallen in love with the game again.
So I’m still having a good time playing. The moment I stop having a good time is when I quit. It won’t be for a while.
Empty servers without a sense of purpose is a big factor for people quiting. This issue will be gone after the merges
80% of people I think are the same people who buy games, play them for max 1 weeks then go look for new game. They just got hyped by streamers and hoped on the train. And, as to be expected, started dropping off one by one. The last 10% are mostly people who got fed up with all the problems.

stop complaining about shield stat, did you not see that wielding shield & sword give you a bonus stat that you will never get by wielding a 2hand weapon ?
jus try it unsheathed shield&sword then K attributes count it, then switch to any 2hands weapon K attributes and count it again.

I’ll complain what I want to complain about
The effect of the Thanksgiving holiday on gaming is strange. Yes, most people have more time to game. However, they also have family commitments, left their gaming desktops at home or in their dorms when traveling for Thanksgiving get togethers, and so on.
Other games I play, like Second Life, have visible fall-offs for Thanksgiving. I don’t see why New World would be different.
Fair point. Though the online players continue to dwindle since my original post in this thread. Most recently ~90K, though up a little more on weekends, naturally. The overall trend though is (slowly) headed toward the basement. Sad to watch, but it is what it is. Better updates could help, but many have lost faith in this company to turn this game around.
What do you mean “if”? Have you seen the patch notes? They are introducing dailies.
Se não Balancearem as Armas o Jogo Vai ter cada vez menos jogadores, Isto de apenas Armas meta proporcionar a diversão no Jogo não presta.
Se ficar como esta vai ter 20k de players e olhe lá.
