All I get is a black screen when trying to launch NW after todays patch. I have validated files over 10 times, rebooted numerous times, and last but not least I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game to an NVME SSD hard drive. Nothing has helped. I still get the black screen when trying to launch NW. Please fix this or my 500 hours of game time has been for nothing.

Hope you are doing well.
I apologize for the trouble caused to you, for which you can follow this troubleshooting related with the AGS Files that are linked within New World:
- Windows + R type in %APPDATA%
- Go to Local and Roaming (Both files will include an AGS file) and open them.
- Rename the AGS sub-folder ‘‘New World’’ to something different like ‘’_New World"
- This will refresh the cache files within New World.

I have done this and even did a Clean boot into Windows 11 by running msconfig and hiding Microsoft items and then disabling the rest and rebooting. That did nothing for my New World issues, only served to disable my internet, which I have obviously fixed. NW still will not launch no matter what is done. Disabling the Full Screen Optimization sounded like a good idea, but come to find out in Windows 11 you can not do that.

Be sure to have your game logs ready just in case they ask for them.
If asked kindly provide the latest 3 logs from: Users\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups
Along with DxDiag report https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-and-run-dxdiag-exe-dad7792c-2ad5-f6cd-5a37-bf92228dfd85:
- Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
- Click on dxdiag.exe.
- When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

I have the DxDiag file ready but have not been asked for it as of yet. I suspect it is New Worlds anti cheat system that is preventing launch of the game. If it isn’t then I have no idea why I am unable to launch the game.
I tried, but am unable to locate the needed AGS folder anywhere on my system.
