NW use in the queue ~95% of my GPU power?

Hey.

Checked my task manager today, while waiting in the queue to enter the game.
That was the result:

While being in the queue 5-8 hours per day, that should really not happen. What is NW doing, mining Bitcoin while letting us wait? Thats more than NW use, while i am actually online.

Others brought up to go to settings before joining server to set your fps to 30 and lower settings, and once in the game boost them back up to avoid this. I’m sure it will be addressed soon, but that’s a temporary fix.

Yeah, thats probably a temporary fix. But imagine the power wasted by several million hours per day, given the amount of players in the queue. They need to adress that pretty fast.

Got it, they should stop working on the queues and jump on that first lol.

Oh look an environmentalist found something online and decided to create an account for a video game to shame us gamers for using too much energy.

Fun time.

I get you. And if we dont have queue’s anymore, it’s also no problem anymore. Anyway, things like this should not happen. Lets just hope the queue’s are gone soon

For me it uses 95% of the CPU instead  my GPU sleeps while in queue… still not a better issue.

Actually i am blaming Amazon Games for this, not the gamers, even more since i am an gamer also.

U can cap your fps lower to have it consume less GPU resources… otherwise it just means you are using a low end GPU…

I use a low end GPU (GTX 980), new computer comes in 2 days :). FPS is capped at 60fps currently.

You should lower your settings as much as possible, which still keeping that framecap on.

A good way to monitor would be by using RTSS OSD to see how much it is consuming in realtime.

Lumberyard is based of cryengine so is naturally a terrible and troublesome engine. It has a history of doing strange things with hardware and pushing it to its actual limits and making things catch on fire, lol. Why can’t just everyone uses unreal or unity. :crying_cat_face:

They are a bit outdated I feel. I couldn’t imagine them doing this level of detail in a open world.

Yeah, they even have the same problems with textures not streaming in correctly and other stuff that Crysis had at the time, lol.
