Odd Error Messages

hey there support team, I am in need of some help. As of this patch, I keep getting error messages that concern me. What ever recent security upgrades you did seems to be triggering crashes and very concerning error messages like “corrupted install or security violation” “security access violations” Or some such similar issues a long with a soft crash (game close).

Can you please look into this? Thanks.

the same thing happened on the PTR for me had to completely reinstall the game and it works fine

Thanks for the report.

Here are some steps to solve the issue. Please try going step by step as follows.

Run a file check: Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files

A repair of EAC:

• Open your Steam library and right click on New World.
• Select “Manage” and then “Browse local files” to access the installation folder.
• Open the Easy Anticheat folder
• Start the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
• In Easy Anti Cheat select New World and click “repair”.

Avoid using VPN, and you should remove other programs such as bots to mine or fish or to avoid being AFK. (if installed for any reason) Even overlays to get unofficial maps for the game.

If nothing works then try reinstalling the game.

I’ll try a repair, and a fix. Out of professional respect for other teams i do not use third party software or cheats. I Would not like them doing it in my game and afford them the same respect by default.

I mainly wanted to let you know about it.
