its not the melees whos saying bows are op. Its the other rangeds and mages. Because none of them have a chance against a bow.
BowPR is irritating.
As a melee, it is CANCEROUS as fuck. It really is, but nah, it doesn’t need a Nerf. Rapier enables their kitiness which is the ONLY thing I’d say needs changed, at the same time I’m fine with where it’s at. A wall of melees charging up with worth a shit healers will faceroll any BowPR group and that’s how it should be. 2 bruisers out of 20? RNG fucked you.

The problem is there are not enough healers so we have to use all our potions to heal the constant bow shots. Lack of heals making bow meta no fun
there are not enough healers coz. they get nerfed every patch. a friend of me, a healer, also stopped playing this game because he has to re equip his gear after every patch and he is no longer interested in this.
But yes, without a healer, bruiser is extremly unfunny, so opr changed to assassins (spartans), range meta, because this builds can be played with fun without a healer.
If you say its not op when u get hit for 4.6k damage with 1 shot then nothing in this game is op.
Its with light amor but still 200 con, 5 resil and mixed pysh and elem gems.
Nerf is 100% needed and will come.
I use the bow in OPRs mainly bcs i queue solo, it is fun, you do a lot of dmg and if you get used to aiming you can kill someone easily.
But, if you get caught by bruisers you are done.
And fire mages deal decent dmg to bow players.
In overall I personally experienced a lot of resistance on bow hits, people use Physical Aversion a lot bcs of bow players.
Sometimes tho I notice someone has none and hit 2-3k crits on them, that is when I focus them and kill them with 2-3 hits.
So like in any other game, you cannot just adapt other weapons to the meta you choose. The meta is constantly changing, you will need to adapt to it.
In the other end bows are useless in WARs and honestly you are better of with no bow player in 3v3 arenas. If you are a bow player and can hit someone in arenas it is their fault for not targeting you.
I feel the frustration, when I am with my team I play as bruiser in OPRs and sometimes i feel like switching to bow just bcs they are annoying af but if you have physical aversion you can run on to them easily.
Only if u surprise them from side or behind…
Front they just dodge every fireball or heaby attack since they only gotta use 40 stamina instead of 50
I have seen people coming at me and hit them with my bow to do only 500 to 700 dmg ![]()
Physical aversion is key against this meta of bow players in OPR.
Just take some pieces with you if you find yourself in an OPR with a lot of bow players against you.
Loosing some resilient over physical aversion might be useful.
Instead of asking a nerf everytime something become relevant or “meta” maybe we should adapt ourselves.
On my server all healers adapt themselves from the nerf with rapier for exemple and start beeing hardly killable, nothing seems to change a lot in fact.
For bow maybe we should add more physical aversion.
Don’t worry the “meta” will die by herslef as Musket one or Mage one did.
Is this serious ? I saw hundred of time archer bein rushed by 2 3 bruiser, switching to rapier, ripostance, and escaping with almost full HP.

I always played bow. The only thing they should do is reducing the arrow hitbox, because I think they overdone it. That alone will make disappear most of these new bow players, simply because they won’t be able to hit, and learning to properly aim (like we all did during months of practise) will be too much of a burden to them. But that’s the ONLY THING they should do, everything else would put bow back at to the poor state it was in, and that would be a silly decision.
Is diferent betvet good mele and bad mele players.
Maybe try the other weapons compared to bow? With the recent changes to bow you’re now able to shot a light attack and instantly start running. Compared to other range weapons like firestaff, ice gauntlet and range void attacks will all put you in a walking animation (3 walking steps) before being able to run. This is giving bow with already haste in the skill tree and stamina reduction ability from now/Dex a huge advantage. The only balance is to nerf the bow but allow instant dodges as when you heavy attack with the bow it will put you in this “walking animation” state, but can be cancelled using a heavy pen shot after the heavy for usually a 3.5k-4.5k heavy attack + an instant heavy pen shot for 3.5k-5.5k. it’s busted which is why OPR is filled with bow players currently but the bow players won’t admit that their weapons are over tuned compared to other range weapons.
All the weapons that have been downbad are currently getting a lot of representation. And i think that’s good!
The bruiser meta, GA/WH, GA/VG, GA/IG heavy heavy heavy. Meatball stack in the middle and IG VG spam till the server had a stroke, this was not good.
They broke that up, and now we have light meta, assassin builds, actual bows being used, different comps being used in war even. It’s different but i think good different.

Bow is stupidly over powered atm in arena’s with Rapier.
Lack of heals because they nerfed it so much and it’s boring AF solo. Lifestaff was my main but when I do play NW its with spear/bow.

And when you either can’t see or can’t reach your opponent it’s fucking annoying. Even when you can see them, they just run away, or they can attack you as you run to them - this goes for any melee or ranged that get on them. I’m a healer so I’m usually just trying to survive and my team are the ones trying to chase. But it’s still annoying and feels unbalanced to have a ton of snipers on the enemy team.
But also just from a gameplay perspective, in MMO’s you’re supposed to have closer face to face fights with people. This isn’t CS:GO or Battlefield. I think the range of bows is the problem. It just doesn’t fit into an MMO environment and we’re seeing that right now. Shorten their range
to more normal ranged DPS ranges and it’ll be fine.
Honestly what other MMORPG has DPS halfway across the map who can hit you?!
its not op you just need to get all your (5) melee and cower in the forts like a little bitch and not fight at all. sounds like a game I wanna play.
