Per half year than one map full of sand with few new monster patterns and even more old monster patterns. I came back to the game with no expectations but NW still dissapoints me. Not even mention that new dung with again same patterns, dark areas and overall reminds me cheap version of Stratholme dung from WoW…
I could not believe that one of end game activities is still running chests in zerg to increase expertise (its crazy boring, like this game is not forcing us to run forever since level 1 till 60 and after). It would make sense if game had truly pvp system (not this casual, carebear garbage - pvp turn on/off). Why there is no PvP server with perma open world pvp?
By the time Lineage 2 came out NCSOFT already had 5 years of MMORPG experience. The only experience they’ve gained is from SmileGate’s Lost ARK and AGS’s New World. AGS has about 10-12 years existing making what is mostly app games. At best AGS has about a year of MMO experience.
It’s not some big secret that the New World devs are fairly slower than normal. Committing as many mistakes as someone would fresh out of collage. If AGS were to make a giant content content drop most people will bulldoze right on through it in a few weeks. They’ve added a new area, several new fast travels as much as I dislike them existing, more enemies, expanding lore and a new dungeon. About what can be expected from a new IP from a studio with no prior experience in the genre.
As time goes on the devs like all before them will become more accustomed to development. To the point they are able to deliver more timed patches, a more grounded foundation, a faster pipeline, and better engagement with this very odd pb. NCSOFT has had their hand in almost 20 MMO’s vs AGS with NW.
When AGS releases an update far larger than anything they’ve done. It will be the accumulation of knowledge, time, practice, pain, and effort. The gaming community got too drunk on the advancement strides now expects everything to be exceptional day 1.
Guilds are useless atm. Until we have raids.
Wars are a BAD pvp implementation. I don’t even want to play them. DELETE wars asap.
Create a new PVP MAP asap.
Pair this with cross-server architecture.
FIX combat controls (stop slowing us down on our movement speed, fix potion activation, and weapon swap from having to press the keys bazilion times)

Lmaoo i just saw u crying about god knows what in a discord server and now ur copy pasting the same stuff here “one map full of sand” = territory 2.5x size of the average territory with dozens of pois, hidden features, 26 glyphs to collect, open world bosses, new massive town, whole main story quest with well written lore, cinematics and fun quests, side quests that are just as good, new resources to farm and more. Chest runs will forever be an end game activity, why would they remove something that people enjoy? Theyre not even the best way to get expertise, probably some of the worst ways in fact And seriously? You have something negative to say about the dungeon? How does that even work i think its one of the best dungeons in any mmo ever. And nice job comparing a brand new mmo with lots of launch issues to an mmo that came out 20 years ago, phenomenal logic
No sub, terrible (but also really good in a way) cash shop.
We will only ever get a trickle.
This is the BIGGEST argument for way more PvP support. But even a lil whiff of advocating for more PvP content and the PvE folks will come a’screamin’ …
