It was mentioned that it was being looked at back in December but whether its a yes or a no, can we get an answer from the devs?
Adding mutations to old expeditions seems like a pretty easy way to add “content” while we wait for things to pick up. With double mutations every week, this should give even more reason to bring these out.
The old dungeons were cool, most havnt done them in forever, so it would be very refreshing. At the very least add “The Depths”…
@Luxendra did a little Q&A on the AGS discord the other day and someone asked this question. I don’t remember the exact answer but it sounded like it is being talked about but not something coming very soon. Perhaps she can chime in here with the actual answer she gave.
Not sure to be honest. The thing about datamines is things could still be a long way off, may never make it, or be misinterpreted as well. Like the new area coming this fall was datamined in beta. Same for mutations I think. There are datamines for mount equipment and food. I don’t think those are coming all that soon.
I had a little more optimism because it seemed like there were 3 sets (light/heavy/medium).
It seems like mutated dungeons come with an elemental theme (abysmal/hellfire) a new non-craft able dungeon theme (light/heavy/medium) and a unique boss theme
I think the other obstacle is making a legendary version of all the SB named items
Stuff may come. It just might take a while to get here. I honestly don’t think the team is that big anymore. I could be wrong on that but it does take them a long time for some things that should be fairly quick. Not saying upscaling dungeons is something quick but others things should be.
If it is a possibility, it shouldnt be far off. Regardless of how long it takes, they mentioned that they were working on it back in December. Youre right, everything in game development is easier said than done, but compared to some other things, this should be a fairly easy implementation, especially considering how long theyve been “talking about it”
