Omg nerf spear wtf?

I don’t play spear, but I think it’s a nice weapon. Annoying as a bruiser but it can be outplayed.

ehhhh, MMO RPG is more like “Every class has technically a meta”, so in those games it’s…5 or more classes meta? But I still see your point and agree, though the idea is that every other weapon, even if “non meta” should be heavily viable and can compete with said meta.

VK is not my choice because everyone breaks it in OPR, arena it has a place, or if you’re on healer killing duty in wars.

I hope they keep spear as is and tune other weapons to have as good of melee homing because it shouldn’t be so easy to disengage from melee as it currently is. Combat should be more intense close range, when you can force it that way.

Spears big downfall is it has no chase for runners (Rapier). I run SPR/HcT, social distancing and berserk on hatchet but it isn’t enough to run down a bow/rapier. When I ran SnS/GA nothing can escape or SnS/HcT has good chase but still not enough.

I’m playing Spear/Hatchet this patch after playing SnS/Hct last patch.

I’m specced bruiser killer. Thwarting counter, skewer empower, unerring precision, combined with fortify stacking (fort perf, shirking fort, hatchet fort LAs), enfeebling skewer, etc

The trick is to stack the bleeds, trade into heavy grit animations, (perforate into whirlwind or maelstrom) and if you get a sweep they’re toast.

This trick also works on berserker boys because that counts as grit. Once their zerk is down, if skitzo, sweep will work (no 300 Str Grit), if 300 Str, light attack trade or swap to my own hatchet and out trade

Currently because weapon perks on armor stay, fort perf on armor stays for 30% fort on 2nd wep, so I’m a light hatchet with 50% fort up. (30% fort perf, 5% shirking fort, 15% fortifying strikes)

Wonder if heavy bleeding sweeps fort will also carry over

Nerf spear? I want them to buff javellin already. This skill needs some love.
