Online Stats Tracker

Can an online stats tracker be implemented? Or even an New World app where you can see your characters stats and gear.

Fast travels fail, opr crashes games, dungeon finder still doesn’t work, movement bug - movement bug - movement bug, graphic clipping, trashy crafting system, trashy war system, trophy buffs disappear randomly - and you want a stat tracking app?

Stop to ask more things and let them fix the game !

@Digitalstag - I’m sorry your first responses to your first post on these forums were so negative. Don’t be put off by them. It’s always good to voice your ideas - and your idea is a good one. There’s no guarantee that they will be implemented, but getting them out there is important for your own sake, as well as to inspire others.

Welcome to the forums and keep those ideas coming!

Hey there Digitalstag, thanks for coming to the forums with your feedback! I’ll second everything ZoltarMacRoth said and add that I will definitely get this feedback sent up to the Dev team so they can have a look. Have a great week!

Just because there are other issues doesn’t mean you can’t ask for nice to have improvements. These can then be planned for future development and implementation. New World will be fully aware of the current issues as there are hundreds of threads stating them.

Well said, @Digitalstag.

It’s weird to me when people complain that suggestions cannot be made because there are bugs to fix. The implication seems to be that the entire development house is tasked with fixing bugs, and that somehow when a suggestion is made all those bug-fixing developers will immediately drop everything and start working on the suggestion. It’s bonkers.

I agree, possibly a perception thing or a lack of understanding of how the dev house operates.
Also the list of problems stated, most of them are trival

  • Fast travels fail - works 99% of the time, when it does fail almost always works second try. Inconvenient at worst
  • opr crashes games - Again the majority of games work but with the occasional crash.
  • dungeon finder still doesn’t work - fair point, the old method of running dungeons still works so the improvement isn’t fully working yet. Don’t kick devs for trying to improve the game
  • movement bug - A rare game bug that should be fixed ASAP but again doesn’t happen constantly and is rare for it to happen. Still haven’t had it happen to me.
  • graphic clipping - Not a big deal for a few places to have clipping small amounts of clipping considering the size of the game. Skyrim was riddled with clipping and everyone thought it was a masterpiece.
  • trashy crafting system - New worlds crafting system could be improved in certain ways but is by no means the worst of the MMOs
  • trashy war system - Trashy in what way???
  • trophy buffs disappear randomly - Personally haven’t had this happen

As someone who lives in Australia, I would add to this that a player’s geographical location (and the lag that causes) and a variety of internet issues between the player and the server (from your own router to some undersea cable) affect online games in ways that aren’t always obvious, but that’s something that’s commonly forgotten or ignored. I’ve been guilty of that too. Sometimes the simplest solution has been to reset a router. As amazing as our ability to communicate and play globally is, it’s a complicated system, and while it’s easiest to blame a particular mmo, it’s not always fair.

On the glitching, lol - GW2 still has Asura toes poking through various shoes last time I checked, and it’s been almost a decare(?) since that game launched. I don’t think there’s any mmo that doesn’t have glitching somewhere, and NW generally does pretty well in my personal experience. And I recently reported the Egwene cloak for clipping through weapons.

Speaking of GW2, they also have a online site where you can examine your toons, inventory, achievements, etc. This kind of thing doesn’t need to be developed in-house at all. A third-party could do it. And I think it will be added, eventually.
