It is really strange that melee can AOE via auto attacking - and this behavior is one of the many reasons why melee dominate mutation content.
Meanwhile, magic and dex ranged weapons can only AOE through abilities on cooldowns, and they are tied to a finite resource.
What if we removed the cleave functionality from all auto attacks, and make that function exclusive to two-hand heavy attacks, if at all?
Couldn’t agree more. Not only does it leave nothing unique to the role of a ranged dps, but it doesn’t even make sense from an immersion perspective. How does a mage hurling a fireball do less area damage than a hatchet? O.o
