only change bow needs is nerf on distance .
instead of bow hitting harder on longer distance it should hit hard in 20 m close range .
and way less on long distance .
that will take care of long distance spaming .
and no one will get killed by it .
way less people will play bow coz its hard to do so in close range and easy to get killed
so hit box and dmg is not and issue any more.
same time bow can act as a debuff from long range with aoe and poison .
but not direct dmg .
so maybe that needs a bit of an buff.
I think the hit box is the problem. It’s too easy to use now.
it was no good with small hit box thats why bow got buffed

when u have crazy aoe and crazy single target dmg + long range something is very wrong!
Im ok with bow 3 shotting light armor, but you should not even scratch heavy players ( atm you do 2k to 3k depending on the buffs you have ) It’s just too mutch going on for bow players, that’s why everyone plays it
It currently has a slightly bigger hit box than the fire staff, except when using heavy attacks on the left side of the target.
Previously, you could shoot through people’s air pits/between their legs.
I’ve been saying this since the first day of the update. The hitbox got buffed too much. I quit bow within a few days of the update after 1k hours.
The shot timings were all jacked up (which may be fixed) and the hitbox was too big. I was drawn to the high skill ceiling of the build which was mostly ruined by the hitbox change. I agree the hitbox was too small but it only needed a slight buff. Current shots are feeling closer to FS level lol
If you test the bow and fire staff against a dummy, the bow actually does have a larger hit box than the fire staff under most conditions.
I feel like it’s an issue of the other’s hitbox rather than the bows, cuz when I played it I remember it going through some mobs’ bodies.
But that’s quite a problem, it has to be smaller than FS but large enough to hit between their legs.
Yea, you can be off by a full character model and still hit the target.
The musket pretty much requires you to hit the target’s model. You cannot be off at all, really. So, based on the musket’s hitbox, AGS definitely can tighten up hitboxes pretty decently.
smaller hit box would make it much more skill based.
Also there should be differentiation between hit boxes and hit registration.
Even though it wasn’t hitting, it could be due to poor server code not just the hit boxes.
Which we can only pray hit registration has been fixed.
Bows hitbox is currently larger than FS. They could have simply made it equal to FS or IG
The bow’s hit box needs to be smaller than the FS’s if it is going to do the most damage of all ranged weapons.
true, true. The range is also an advantage.
