I routinely get aggro on mobs that have absolutely no business aggroing to me. This makes questing in zones at level very frequently a frustrating experience, especially when doing quests which require me to loot chests. Many areas have fast respawns on mobs as well that amplifies this problem. Doing quests in sunderfort or cleave’s malice in great cleave are particularly not enjoyable due to this issue, but just about everywhere I experience it. Even when there are several players in an area at the same time, the mob spawns can be a little overwhelming.
Shortening aggro radius and slightly increasing spawn times would completely solve this issue in my opinion.
I was at the landmark Catara Falls in Great Cleave doing a quest. I was off to the side of the area mining a lodestone spawn, with no enemies nearby. when I turned around, there were no less than five mobs bearing down on me, and I do not know where they came from. They quickly beat me to death. I genuinely cannot fathom how that happened and I wish I had a video of it.
Fully agree this. Especially when you are doing quests two levels above you the aggro range is so big its like you can pull half the enemies on the map. I know players who purposely over level before they move to next zone to avoid this since aggro range gets smaller the higher the player level.
