I’ve been playing healer in opr
Abnormal for me- I am a dps/tank since day 1 the game opened.
Gear at 610 AND its pve healer gear -weapons 625 - Will of Ancients and a 600 Con based rapier
Goals every time:
Get the 500 points
Heal players -try/do strategies for healing in the mad house of opr
Don’t die more then 10 times-can be the hardest goal of all-run, dodge, throw heals, evade.
Build/practice skill combos. Everything-heals, maneuvers, skills, dodges, weapon swaps etc.etc.
AND don’t care about the placement at all
Really, Do. Not. Care.
You will always see me in the bottom 40 to 36 on the board.
I’m having A GRAND TIME.
And yes I get my gypsum, my shards and a chest.
I earn it.
Er… I only look to see if there some shards, gypsum and a chest, yes! I win! means I made at least 500.
Well since you asked, I’m running a full Sagacious set, with Misty Kismet Charm-earring, Isabella’s amulet and a reinforced old ring of the sentry which has leeching, hearty and sacred on it.
Call it a starter set.
The gear is good, the player is terrible at pvp combat.
My big thrill in opr was when I actually out maneuvered-fire, muskets, gravity well, ice storm and evaded those 6-7 players on me.
Then died on the way back to a rock from a brute cause I was not paying attention at all, too busy gloating over my tiny victory.
Yeah thats not a bad set up at all - I always find it helpful to stick with a group and hang back, huge bonus points if the people on your actual team stick together and you can pocket heal for them.
If you are new to it you will get much better fast and it does really help with PvE as well - dont be surprised to find yourself placing in the top 20-10 players each match once you get the hang of it. Its actually EZ mode.
Bingo, right on the nose.
Pve Boss/mobs are fine, but they are limited to scripted actions and certain elements blah blah.
Now throw in all those opr crazy varied gear/weapons players trying to kill you while you’re trying to keep your side alive and healing…
Yeah I think the skills will be much better after a month.
