OPR is supposed to be one of the pinnacle things to do in the game at this moment. Currently, there is no joy in playing OPR right now and here is why.

  1. The map is too damn big. It makes people want to only play range, and on top of that, the balancing of classes for PVP at the moment favor ranged (this is a completely different topic that needs to be addressed as well). It makes for a miserable time just having to bob and weave random musket shots from spawn.

  2. The unbalanced teams in OPR is an issue. Sometimes it is skill based as to why you get steamrolled but other times it’s that the other team has healers, or one team might have all ranged, etc. There are a ton of variations as to why but regardless it is a problem and needs to be addressed. (Possibly assign roles to join OPR, like healers/tanks/mdps/rdps/etc. This might even out some of those unequal games.)

  3. The amount of desync / server lag / latency that happens while in OPR AND the open world is terrible. Being that there are WEST coast and EAST coast servers(America) only, those that live in the central areas, no matter what server you choose, you will always be playing behind people who lives closer. This becomes worse as the peak of the day gameplay happens. Your shots don’t register, your hits make animations and even the sounds trigger, but no damage has been done. This makes the PVP complete garbage.

  4. The amount of bugs that have been reported and not fixed blows my mind. The most annoying at the moment, is the framerate drop after dying, or about to die, or almost killing someone. Framerate will go from 50-60fps down to 2 fps. This causes the “5 seconds” rez timer, to be 10-20 seconds long, and that saying it doesn’t crash your client. Also Spells that make me immune to damage (reposte/ice block) are casted, cooldown starts, and yet I am not in the damage immunity and I’m dead. You can blame this on the “PC” but other people with significantly better hardware than me have the same issue.

All of this and you can add in the people who are aimbotting. Anyone who can shoot someone through trees while rolling backwards and then shoot you in the head the very second you come out of an iFrame, are 100% cheating and you can’t tell me otherwise. You don’t get lucky like that. This ruins OPR, even after reporting you still see the same people doing it. It’s either the Devs don’t even care, or they don’t want to get rid what small population of people they have playing.

TLDR; OPR is garbage.

Game is in so trash state, its insane. Worst part, devs are acting like everything is fine, more than two weeks after the terrible broken update and not a single word, LOL.

I’ve had the same issue lately where when I get to sub 50 percent hp my frames drop substantially and or my screen starts freezing. Then I die and everything and is moving in mega slow motion for a bit. Restarting my game completely sometimes fixes this but then after a few opr it just starts doing it again. Makes no sense.

Yup. Half the time, I’m still casting spells, and all of a sudden I am dead. But AGS would rather add in a new dungeon, which by the way, is just as buggy as OPR.

Its a known issue for months now, just after this patch its even worse and more ppl are having the issue. My “favourite” bug right now is when i dodge and take damage, game EATS my stamina no matter how much i have, it just straight grays out…

Right. It’s a joke. I’ve died in OPR and could not res. I literally had to restart the game to fix it. No unstuck to get me out, nothing. This has been an issue since well before this year. STILL nothing.

I think some of the stamina thing you are referring to might be caused by exhaustion from spells but I am unsure. If this is a bug I was unaware.

You have many videos about that topic, mostly in arenas, now its common in opr or any open world too.

I just wish AGS came out in their little dev videos and addresses this issues and just talked about them. Tell us they are aware of them and they are trying to fix it and sorry for the inconvenience. It makes me so mad when they sit there and talk about how they are fixing thousands of bugs and our players are really enjoying the game right now etc. just pr bull crap. I still experience the same bugs over and over and over. Patch after patch and patch. Plus with every new patch brings more new bugs like this new invincibility bug from the new dungeon. How many bugs are reported on the ptr still go over to live. Just so embarrassing.
