On my server OPR is dead. Everyone is trying to do mutated dungeons. To fix this issue, OPR should have a reward system similar to mutated dungeons.
You earn OPR experience (winning games, killing people, healing, capping points, defending points, PvE stuff), and over time you level up your OPR rank. When you unlock a new OPR rank, you gain access to a higher tier loot pool of pvp focused gear and more umbral shards. The lowest OPR level might offer 20 umbral shards per game and the highest level might offer something like 1000-2000 shards per game (You get 6000 shards for a level 10 mutated dungeon, btw). AGS can set the experience point modifiers in such a way to prevent bots/afks from leveling hardly at all.
I think a system like this would work pretty well and get people engaged in OPR again.
The reason for ranks would be primarily to scale umbral shards. If you just gave OPR caches umbral shards you couldn’t give a high amount because people would abuse it by afking/boting. Consequentially, AGS would be stuck giving a low number of umbral shards per cache, which would be meaningless for high GS players. I think faction points would be cool, too, but it wouldn’t solve the umbral shard scaling issue.
