I’m on top of people, colliding with them, yet my attacks don’t land. Leaping Strike is colliding with people and not doing anything.
I need to know, is this problem on my end? I have no reason to believe that AGS hasn’t failed once again, but I’d like to be sure. Is anyone else unable to play melee in OPR?
If the problem is specifically with leaping strike, it’s not a lag thing(well it could be a desync thing sometimes) the tracking on that skill is horrible. To the point where you an actually aim right at something and slip to the side after collision. In the pre they’ve improved it drastically and it feels great.
No you’re right, Leaping Strike has its own issues. I’m saying it’s entirely unplayable because my attacks just don’t go off as if I’m on 400 ping, but I’m on 40.
Also just to add, the game seems to run fine until I’m in actual combat. Then it’s nothing but rubberbanding and weird behavior like colliding with someone right on top of me but not landing attacks.
The whole time I’m at 120 FPS and 40 ping. However when I die, the ping rises to 150 or 500 which is odd, but probably unrelated.
After I upgraded my PC to high end again ( 3 weeks ago) I can definitely confirm that the server have a massive problem counting every move every action that is happening even in an opr
I can clearly hear all my hits, seeing how I slice trough them but the DMG counter doesn’t come
It’s a huge desync problem, letting your own character be on a different position and not behind the enemy
I agree. There is a server problem, but it doesn’t affect everyone I guess. I know when I see rats beating on me like I’m a test dummy while I’m swinging at air.
OPR is not unplayable for me but the desync it’s surely in a worse condition than months ago and there are a lot of times my spear CCs simply do nothing even when on my screen I’m landing the hits.
So, to answer your question, no, the problem is not on your end.
Yup devs said they are aware of the issue for a long, most of the wars are …, you know.
They created a specific team to fix desyncs,laggs,runbberbanding (last update from december if im correct)
Unfortunately, hey decided for some reasons to dodge the topic into last dev video and they communicated nothing more about desyncs since December (except the ice shower fix)
I guess they are probably not communicating on this topic as they dont know how to solve it by now
So 2 choices for us sadly : accept the game in his current ETA or leave it till fix (if desyncs will be fix one day…)
March and still issues. I would say its playable but the spikes in latency and desync are real issues. Some days are better than others in regards to latency but the rubberbanding, character collisions and desync issues can be really bad at times. For me, ppl running in place then teleporting 10 meters away the next second is becoming more of a regular thing. Shooting through ppl who are standing still on my screen occurs from time to time. Aiming wise its all over the place with the desync and latency issues. Supposed to aim just to the right with their terrible reticle implementation but sometimes I’ll hit ppl aiming left so it is just all so messy.
I have to say that I did notice increasing problems after the patch.
OPR is laggy, a lot of desync and stuttering happens.
One moment you are running and the moment after that same player is 20m away in a blink.
One of the worst things that happened to me was right outside Sol in the slope toward star and I Dodge rolled to find myself sliding forward of at least 40m ending up in the middle of the enemy group. In my screen I was just outside Sol.
I don’t know what’s happening but performances have gone downhill pretty badly.
