OPRs after patch are the worst experience for fresh or casual players.
I see some players getting two hit killed by Fire Staffs in OPRs.
I rarely see a competitive OPR match and 99% of the cases its 1,000 points against less than 100.
There are only few non Fire Staff players in each OPR and most of them are healers or bows.
In overall OPR matches are so much worse than they were before.
I like the overhaul on the Fire Staff and tbh I think it is easy to counter with some gear changes.
But not all players know how to counter that and many struggle to counter it even with the right gear.
While the Fire Staff user has no limit on what they can reach and it is so easy to learn. That is why most players are switching to Fire Staff in OPRs.
Nerfing the Fire Staff? maybe…
Give priority to change OPR matchmaking with role selections? URGENTLY!
Don’t let anyone change gear after they started the OPR.
And limit the amount of fire staff users can be selected for each OPR.
For sure. Not only is there Gearscore gap, then there is skill perk gap. Then the skill ceiling in NW admit it or not is very high. I don’t mean skill with each particular weapon, I mean pvp skill in general. On top of that, even if you have all those things if you don’t know how to do your build right, you still getting owned.
you know what thing would be help and counter for that plague you having right now is to make musket great again musket can control that problem since its nature nemesis to bow and mage now they would have a good match since both weapon would be OP whoever die have skill issue
they just dont know how to fix they keep making the same mistake over and over all weapon need to be balance so player have options but we can not have one weapon OP and the rest trash that is why you see alot players using the OP weapon every single patch is the same bullcrap Sns\hatchet , Sns\blunderbuss , bow, musket now bow and mage if one weapon is OP why not make the other weapon OP
And you can thank companies like Ratio’ed and Ego’ed and Supple that sat on territories for months and months and months buying up all the BIS gear and BIS players that everyone else said “We can’t compete so screw it!”
Yes they were just working the system in place, but they were actually exploiting TF out of it.
Define “OP”. I mean everyone complained about muskets being “OP” but if I wanted to get big damage numbers I had to run 300 Dex and at least 150 Int. Could run a max of 65 con which in light gear is very little survivability.
But Mages can run 300 Int and 200 con in light gear and still be effective.
you right on that musket does not have much on health but do not forget what happen when player find out about the exploit they were abusing that plus its kind of unfair for the melee user getting kill from far away it should be a penalty the farther you shot the less damage because it was annoying having a musket sitting down on the rock shooting to the sun base at OPR its better if Dev make musket medium range at least you would see them behind the melee line pushing in
So was it good before the patch?
Casuals and old timers both were getting 2 shot by musketeers as soon as they left spawn. (fyi you can’t dodge bules).
I mean, that’s how I played musket anyway. My aim sucks at distance in this game so I had to be kinda close. I’d say my average distance from a fight was between 100 and 150 meters especially since I liked to run bow as a secondary for cooldowns.
with my experience i had playing at OPR the one who was getting kill by 2 shot are the one who use light armor some player have the wrong idea they think light armor would provide the same as heavy or Medium armor, believe me ive been shooting light armor and heavy i can tell right always who die fast heavy armor take more than 2 shot they have more health and more armor than light
Not if you realize that you are being shot by a musket. Most musket players are going to fire and if they hit you fire at you again. Time it right and they will miss almost every time unless they bait you.
Not to mention, if you are close to a musket, you can see them ADS so you can get a good guess when they are going to shoot at you. And since you are close and they need to get you away, they will probably fire as soon as they ADS and think you are in their crosshairs.
