Orichalcum still have a big issue

I kinow they reduced cooldown for orichalcum, but that didn’t help much as the main server is always full. Impossible to compete for just 3 spots.

The only places where you have enough orichalcum to farm non-stop are ebonscale, around the palace and shattered mountain, in mines and myrk. A whole map of sands was proposed to us and no orichalcum ore route? PLEASE, ADD MORE NODES.

I know there are other places but you and I both know that the only places with enough orichalcum are these 3 places.

We’re going to be almost 2 years into the game soon, and we still have the same amount of nodes. Please do something! It’s stressful competing orichalcum with 50 other people.

same amount ?

they added tons to reekwater and edengrove… xD

Unfortunately, not enough.

I mean, a large amount, just like we have orichalcum in Minas, which are in reduced areas and not too spread out. Really a farm route.

to devalue it even further? ye good idea.

Prices are high, I don’t know about your server. But I believe this is not undervaluing.

Of course, there will be people who will be unhappy about this and the devaluation, which may even be their method of making gold. But even so, the values are high and the spots are highly disputed.

less then 1 coin per … isnt high

Maybe in your server, mine is 8 each. ingot is way more expensive.

What, there’s tons of Ori, literally everywhere uncontested.

Saroth talked about ore…

because neither of those zones are “end game”. brimstone and shatterd mountain are exlusively endgame content. Reekwater and edengrove are mid level to end game, but not end game exclusive.

That is the logic for it.

Thought lately, well I have lots of star metal ingots, lets make a few orichalcum ingots out of them.

Went to the usual spots with more than three orichalcum nodes.

And yes, very interesting, they seem to be farmed all around the time (ok just the few occassions I went there to have a look). And interestingly by the very same guys, at least last two days.

Which means there is sufficient orichalcum. Its just that for whatever weird reason some people (not bots) think its a good idea to spend their days farming them.

You could add now more nodes, like last time and it will likely not change anything, just that there are now more spots where people start living and mine them day and night.

Even more the weird thing is, populations are declining, orichalcum prices are not that good anymore other ressources can earn you more, if you have your gear and your crafting level you dont need orichalcum in large volumes anymore. Why the heck are people farm orichalcum that concentrated ? Is it for fun ?

My approach, if I really need orichalcum, farm other ressources instead, sell them, buy orichalcum.

A few threads going on about this. There are some very serious market managers across many servers. Its not my play style but i can’t fault them either

What i will never agree on is recycling basic commodities like stone, greenwood or any other to sell so i can buy ori, wire, and ironwood.

That mentality makes the problem Worse!

People are going to argue hard against creating resource availability because their profis will decrease.

Players looking to “use” their own resources should never be locked out from those who are simply turning profits.

Increasing nodes at this point just fattens the routes.

Instance the nodes 30 min CD.
Salvaging purple gear give mats appropriate to the gear type.
Add mats as repeatable quest rewards.
Put mats on faction vendors…ill happily stop buying gypsum in lieu of mats, hell i’ll even do more pvp (which i despise) if it means more mats.
Put motes on faction vendors and quest rewards too; mote bots are as big of a problem.

There are ways to allow players like myself to acquire our daily accumulation and not hurt farmers, their will still be plenty of buyers.

They did add nodes… there are almost always 2-3 people crawling all over these areas like ants… this is on CoS… maybe other servers aren’t like that?

I’ve had to settle for going back to slag mines or just farming at that food glyph place without my mining gear to get my ori

I would prefer to see instanced nodes for each player on a 1-3 hour spawn… maybe more… then I can run tot eh rich areas for each resource I want once or twice a day and get what I need… this would also drastically slow down farm bots or force them to move around the world more…

Nice tip

Bots in New World still a real problem.

simply add yield back for territory standing level’s as we had it at launch.

more yield > more ressources > less reason for bots

sure bot’s can get this aswell. but they get banned…^^

Good day there,

Sadly you are on the wrong track. Whether you boost node output or add more nodes you just improve the pool for neckbeaders and bots.

Bots are not banned anywhere close to enough, they are an absurd infestation on COS.

The more i think about every node on the map available (guaranteed) to the player even ONCE per day would be amazing…(instance on CD)

In fact it would provide a very cool daily type mission, suit up, food up, pop a proficiency booster and bomb around the map to the best of my abilities !!

Plowing down the mountain side in reek or cruising the high road in eden Grove knowing my node is up motivates me to use the best gear/pots/buffs and becomes an incredibly satisfying 25-35 minutes (prof potion) its alomst assured ill gather at the absolute worse the amount i need for the standard daily crafts.
