Yes they had a event today where they played a few rounds. I don’t care if they were temporary characters on a temporary server. You don’t do that kind of stuff when your customers can’t access it. The devs of this game have been known to be a toxic bunch since early early alphas so no surprise they don’t think stuff like that is a problem or insulting.

I would just like to add, besides agreeing with your entire post which had a much more understanding tone than the title of the post, that communities that are ignored always die. The delay is understandable from my point of view. The complete lack of communication on the problems and time frames regarding outpost rush delay are where my gripe comes in. Transparency is integrity.

It’s been central to the advertising for this game, and it’s the only real competitive PVP available outside of Wars, which are quite limited…
And yet we don’t even have updates on what is happening with a fix.
Outpost Rush needs to be available in-game, and soon. This is something we were anticipating, this is something we have looked forward to, and it’s one of the few available endgame activities in New World.
That being said, I’m certain it’s being worked on tirelessly, as the aforementioned points of concern are well-understood by the development team at AGS.

I love how he’s white knighting the sh** out of this.
We made a guild for competetive players. We’re 95ppl lvl 60 on a medium pop server. 50% of us is alrdy playing old games(you can see it on discord) or don’t even login anymore. 20% still log in cuz they want to raise all professions to 200 or want all leg weapons.
But for the majority of pvp driven people this game gonna struggle to get those people back if they keep postponing it forever
I only login for invasions and wars due to the gold you receive. There’s basically nothing else to do(if you’ve played mainly for pvp that is). Even defending your own territory seems like a waste of time since pvp incentives are basically 0

I’m not “white-knighting” anything, I’ve spent years in the tech industry and understand what is required of consumer-facing content. Once the company (AGS in this case) understands what is being requested of them and it’s an expectation, horsepower gets behind it. Why? Glad you asked. Because they want to make money, and having OR available in-game is their objective in order to do so.
It’s not “white-knighting” as much as it is simply knowing how business works.

Im sure Amazon would like more money. I buy skins, i buy everything. Im the customer they would like to keep and at its current pace im one foot out of the door.

Exactly. I bought skins. They look terrible and I don’t use them. But it’s my way of supporting this product since there’s no subscription. Want more money? Make outpost rush work and also not have 12 hour queues.
Still no Outpost Rush - guess it’s time to play something else. Not sure I can farm elite zones and farm crafting mats any longer. Hopefully some stuff changes soon. 300 plus hours of play time and I find myself staring at the map while browsing for something else to potentially play until they get this together.

This preface throws your entire argument out of the window and diminishes the entire problem being explored. Any situation where you position yourself as a victim immediately to reinforce your moral framework is reprehensible.
It’s been disabled for an incredible amount of time and its a really important part of the game.
We aren’t being marginalized. All aspects of the game need help. For example, Myrkgard portals are still not working. The large portals are still ending randomly with no rewards often.
They just need to fix the problem lol.
this game should be PVX but we have PVE with duplicate gold and item exploits and economy for sell everything for 0.001 lol and disable PVP mode, nothing work well, you should work more hard than this, 2 days without anything announcement is people patience test and this too bad for AGS.
Outpost rush will really be a good addition to level 60 content and should be prioritized to be available as soon as possible.
