If I wanted to play an fps I would play an actual fps and not a mmo, I expect melee and mages to perform on par with bow and musket users. On a side note void gauntlet is actually stupid op with the scream and the blade.

It’s not fun when your melee stuck with all range players I just go farm npc and wood and stay away from point . Opr needs a massive rethink for one balancing teams x amount of healers , x amount of range , x amount of melee per team for starters then brutes just need to be the fuck out of the game start there and see where it goes

I’m a melee sword shield hammer or axe hammer or sword shield void gauntlet. solo queue alot. my opr matches feel like it’s me and a bunch of fire ice or rapier life users. none spec’d to get in the trenches to help. feels like the other team gets the opposite and i’m getting beat down by their 15 melee users. real solution for me is to play in a pre-made balanced group snd fight as a unit.
I noticed that too. Although most of my team is all melee while the other team always seems to be half bow/musket
Use a SS and don’t run in a straight line. Use the pause/block and run method. Company should Rethink your strategy.

Wait- so you’re asking the DEVS why the PLAYERS are choosing the weapons they are choosing to defend an outpost? LOL.
Why would players NOT use ranged weapons to defend a fort? That is exactly what happens and happened historically as technology advanced.
You’re making it sound like the devs. did this on purpose. This game has bows and muskets, two weapons that DID exist during the age of discovery. The fact those weapons are in the game does NOT make the game an FPS. That comparison is simply ludicrous. WoW has muskets and bows, doesn’t it? Is WoW an FPS as well?
Sorry, but your argument has no merit beyond the fact that bows and muskets are weapons you don’t like because they can shoot from a distance.

I don’t think OP is necessary going off on weapons but the fact that some OPR teams are FULL of range. It’s a balance issue way to miss the whole point. Having 2 axe users and all range is guarantee loss so yes it needs to be looked at.

Gong and doing the PVE part of OPR is actually an intended gameplay mechanic or it wouldn’t be in the game. There’s nothing wrong with what your doing.
Gotta say I also do this.
If I try to contest point a couple times and just get shot down with no healing and no one with me inside, and then I look back and see 8 ranged players shooting through the door outside the point ( my allies).
I just give up and go solo missions.

i see alot more GReataxe hammers on my OPR there all in heavy armor so there basicly immune to muskets. bows migth still do dmg though.

The topic is right. OPR of most of the servers are filled with muskets now, and nothing else. Anyone with multiple characters on multiple regions and world sets knows that. The VG patch ruined Melee, not because of nerfs, but because of desync. Also, lots of the Musket users use aimbot. Not hard to find. Just YouTube it.
OPR is mostly life staff, void gauntlet, and GA/WH on my server.
I’m on a high pop server, and muskets aren’t really an issue. Sure maybe once in a while you’ll get a match with a few.
However we still have large groups of GA/WH. Some matches it seems like everyone has a light staff.
VG is the new meta right now and we have tons of those running around in med/heavy armor exploding anyone they can stun.
Every world is different.
