How is it broken ? Its been nerfed so much already . Do you just not want us to have heals at all ?

And you shall be rewarded for your time spent grinding for PvP power. The rewards for you peoples’ efforts is 2+ hour queue for matches. Because all but the top 5% of hardcore gear grinders avoid them.
It is what it is. I’m personally done fighting for decent PvP against Devs and game communities, that just want Excel gear based PvP.
Weapon balance is always an issue but its not going to solve the problem.
We need a new pvp zone.
2 kegs. It takes 1m to kill enough enemies to get them.

I hate the fact that I can be having a 1v1, or a 1v2 and there is a chance I may win, or even a any number of small encounter, or fighting on the point, and out of nowhere I just get nailed with projectiles. I am not saying weapons should be nerfed, I am not even worried about balancing of the weapons at this point. Everyone should be able to play what they want. The balance would be nice where everyone could play what they want and it be a viable build they can do ok with. I get that ranged are good to have out in back, melee’s to cap fort, healers to heal, dex to kill healers, mages to… well I am not sure what mages are doing. I think a fundamental game issue is the lack of team buffs, usually supplied by a mage type class. But either way, I get everyone has a roll. Whether everyone chooses roles to make the OPR work correct is something that is lacking. Because its a classless system. That is a reason we all love new world.
My biggest issue is map design. Make some high walled corridor spaces ranged can’t melee. Doesnt have to be the entire map, but c’mon. Make some areas with walls where a few people won’t get interrupted (I know I know, if you want to 1v1 or 3v3 go do open world or arenas or stand outside WW and duel), but you have all been in that position. Your chasing someone and get into that scuffle. It’s fun, gets the blood pumping even more than the point pushes with some good healers on your side. Make area’s of the map where certain builds/specs shine, and others don’t. As of right now unless you are part of the main zerg your doomed.
I dunno. My ire wore off after I made this post and really did not expect it to still be going. But I am glad it is getting shown some attention to hopefully bring forth some sort of change. I am not on board the nerf ranged into the dirt crowd, just a map change. Multiple maps. Do something. Do anything. Give us some change.

you are playing with bots mate, the PvE group that is defending the outpost is able to counter aswell, while keep reparing.

Oh Oh and yeah - This may or may not change peoples minds, it depends on how many people like seeing their names at the top of the leaderboard. Change the scoring. TIME ON POINT, the points are the objective of the match yeah? Time on point and captures should be ranked. Also maybe damage taken for our tank friends would be cool to throw in there as well.
OPR wouldn’t take forever to only get 40 people if it was accessible PvP to more than just the hardcore 8+ hour everyday grinders. By exclusively catering to this at best 5% you alienate a huge portion of potential PvP players.
I’m not going keep subjecting myself to get clapped by gear carried people. Who can make all the mistakes and still take no damage when I hit them, while they can 3 hit KO me by accident. Nah that is silliness. And judging by the queues, I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in that assessment.
If you want more people to subject themselves to to the PvP modes. That PvP modes are going to have to be friendlier to the average to moderate players. Or else enjoy your long queues.
Cross server OPR will end the same way once the mid ranked players become the fodder. Because then the new fodder will continue to quit eventually. Seen this happen in all the hardcore gear grinder PvP scenes without fail.
If you want to improve yourself learn about what the pve people are doing. I regularly do both in opr.
Unlike yourself I will go to baron, poach it if needed. Keg baron for the quick lock. Sneak behind lines and blow up their back cap with two kegs. Tear down their tent.
Problem in opr is people like yourself thinking it’s team deathmatch. Learn done strategy ffs.

Yeah, since their balance team had the glorious idea to reduce the dodge distance on Light and Medium on any melee swing without adding any diminishing returns PvP just feels extremely cheesy. OPR now consists exclusively of huge deathballs because nobody can disengage anymore. Add Detonate into the mix and you basically eliminated any space for skill in that gamemode.

go keg it when enermy has respwn tower and actively fightinback at door.
And you need 10 s uninterrupted to start the keg, and another 10s for it to bomb (used to be 5s)

Your ^Strategy^ is easily countered by non bots players, kegs problems already been stated above.
This thread highlight all the problems about OPR and PvE is one of them.
Like it is now PvE its not balanced, like in the past was the BRUTE problem.

Opr has a load of potential. They have already improved it since launch, the only annoying things is that progress has been very slow.

As its BG (PvEvX) mode should be balanced and improved regurarly, and even so ags is regurarly checkin the status of OPR(at least they say so), the quantity of time between patches that include OPR changes(not like fixing respawn, or slow bug, that are issue but not issues or improvement on the Gamemode) is enormous.
Adding that its the only repeatable BG (interaction between large number of player), and it has only one map it kinda brings to a stale gameplay.
Honestly, the problem is that it’s impossible to satisfy the pvp and pve playstyles at the same time. You should be able to nerf/buff things for pvp without having them nerf pve, and vice versa.
