I loved playing opr until the buffs to bows and then mortal empowerment to muskets. I hate it now, I’ve been complaining for quite some time. Feels good that everyone else is catching on. Aim botting is becoming very popular as well, even bow players snap to you, musket players hip fire way more than they ever have before. If they get all the free ammo in the world, why don’t we get free health pots at least? The game mode is so unbalanced it’s laughable. AGS is laughing at everyone that isn’t ranged while reading these messages. Shame on them for not having a good anti cheat that works with their code, shame on them for not knowing how to balance, shame on them for at a minimum not fixing the map for more los protection.
If you can hit for 5k with 400 dex, why cant my vg/fs/ig hit for 5k with 400 int with autos? Balance the game! Bow players can hit me more times than I can hit them with IG autos, IG autos are miserable. Maybe IG should get a huge boost in damage! Honestly no, but bow and musket damage is off the charts and the weapons need their damage severely reduced immediately.

Oh no bow definitely out classes mage in the ranged department. Hell the fire auto vanishes into thin air before it gets to them depending how far they are.
Which like…why? Apparently magic is weaker than primitive bow and arrow lol. The projectile is also slower so harder to hit a moving target.
Edit: ranged usually run stuff to protect from other ranged tho so if you land say a heavy + fireball combo they almost instantly die lol
That’s why mage is also dependent. If there’s too many muskets/bows you can’t play that either in OPR. Since they hardcounter mage, you can’t reach them but they 3shot you
Can kill ranged players easily now, outside of the top 1% which know how to run, which I think is good because they all run 50-150con, TTK is fast, good risk vs reward.

I’ve never been hit by an explosive arrow headshot + heavy headshot in OPR, but it has happened several times since the patch. I have 34% thrust resistance in OPR and that combo does >7.1k. It kills me in one combo
Yes. Because since everybody wants to test out fire staff after the buff, there’s now at least 10 fire staff’s in each OPR, making the ranged meta even worse than it was before.
There is no such thing as “ranged meta” in OPR. People are just fucking lazy and stupid, simple. Statpadding with a bow is the easiest way to get to the desired 3k. Its a scoring issue mainly, not the weapons themselves.
Beyond that melees win everytime because bows with spears/rapiers can’t compete inside of the outpost when the body count is higher.
Like the lead game designer said, its fine for weapons to be strong in one part but weak in another. So just don’t go into open spaces and sit in zerg balls, wars, or within 5 feet of cover. Go makes some friends so they can go healer and hold your hand down the roads. The game lead plays musket by the way.
